3:17p - suddenly, mike the vegan pounced.
Not an all-out wankfest just yet. It's still in the foreplay stage. But I sense potential! ah, veganism, fat people, abortion, religion...some things you can always count on for a healthy dose of fuckheadedness.
(full disclosure--I commented to bitch about the "clawing one's way to the top of the food chain" nonsense, and to compliment a Jayne icon. The latter virtue somewhat mollifies the former failing, I think.)

PublishAmerica.com is a site where people pay to get their unsellable crap masterpieces made into books so they can beg their friends and relatives to buy copies. It seems like a generally friendly place, but it's inevitable that a drama queen would arise...
Meet Diana Hignutt. Diana is apparently one of the site's BNWs (Big Name Writers), and she thinks very highly of her own work. So highly, in fact, that a mild negative review sends her into a highstrung little tizzy of stamping feet and tossing mane. Don't miss the bit about four messages down where she decides that she's being persecuted for being a post-op transsexual. *patpat* There there, honey. There there.
That one's fairly short and a lot of the responders tell her to chill, so you might just want to keep an eye out for the slobbering sycophants and the wah-wah-me-toos. Consider it a zesty entree. IMHO, this one's beautifully wanky for the sheer grinding never-ending SHUT UP ALREADY factor. I certainly could not get through it all. Ouch...

I've been sitting on this thread for almost a month now, but...
You know the little bit of wank around the trans community in the previous post?
Well...
This is from the Trans Issues section of the Venus Envy fanboard. This board is a happy land of constant flamewars.
In this one, we start out with a question about going "stealth."
By the middle of the second page, the argument has started.
We get into early transitioners vs. late transitioners, teens vs. adults, "colonization", offense, the difference being a transwoman and a woman (this is mostly MtF's arguing...), hatred of anyone going another path, white male privelege...
And on...
And on...
And on...
After eight pages, everyone just sort of...wanders off. They all seem mad, but it just...stops.
Ye gods...
