12:01a - Winamp Wank
I didn't think it existed, but apparently it does. This one starts out when Rabid Snowbunny's skins are removed from DeviantArt, a site that puts up people's skins, fanart, etc.
The problem? Nieman, who has recently taken over the position of "Gallery Director of the Application Skins and THemes galleries" (strange capitalization his), proclaims a Jihad (again, his term, not mine) against skinning programs.
Many people respond. Most-- not so well.
All fear the Jihad of the mighty Mr. Photoshopmaster.
Tis a small wank, but has been growing all day. I have hope for it. In the sadistic way.

1:57p - Oh Canada
Over on  canadakicksass,  chrislacroix posts, complaining about the newest price-hike on smokes. He asks everyone to consider a boycott to make the government lower their taxes on cigarettes, as well as gas.
Wank ensues, unsurprisingly.

nycteenguy in a christina fans' community: I know it's a stupid thing to do and I might get bashed but I'll do it anyway. But I'm leaving this community. I want NOTHING at all to do with Christina Aguilera. Do not go talking about people you don't know. I read the Blender article and seriously... it just ticked me off. Especially what she said about Britney. Britney NOR Beyonce talk about her and she's going to talk about other people and be a bitch? [edited for brevity]
nycteenguy posts about his dear john letter to the christinites in the britney_fans community. (one amusing comment in agreement.) eta: several amusing comments ensue from other enthusiastic britney minions, who are starting to remind me of the fans of cassie claire. the opinion is advanced that britney has class. watch for a chocolate-truffle-sized morsel of snarkwank from me, when my resolve slipped. i'm sure more rah rah rahs will be appearing shortly.
next up, in the comments to the dear john letter...
+speculation gets a little wild!theprankster speculates, possibly prematurely, that christina is just jealous because britney is about to outsell her last album. nycteenguy, almost certainly prematurely, invites theprankster to "Watch [xtina] cry when she loses her fame."
+jaded tries unsuccessfully to introduce consistency to nycteenguy's worldview by pointing out that christina and britney have in fact known each other for years.
+curlietoes points out the oddness of posting a xtina-bashing-note in a fans' community; nycteenguy ignores the point and latches onto semantics.

It's flames ahoy in the popular LJ community customers_suck. ![[info]](http://www.journalfen.net/img/userinfo.gif) katism posts asking "Who tips worst?" The first respondent declares that the worst tippers are church people - so far so good. Then katism jumps into the fire of his own making, responding "Well , we refer to them as canadians... but they tip worst :-P. I don't want to get flamed for being 'racist', which I am not."
WTF?, the community reponds. Eventually it surfaces that katism is under the strange delusion that "Canadian's = Code Name for Black People". The community once again responds with "Are you on CRACK?"
Now the troll alarm goes off, as this is then followed by the obligatory insulting graphic, and the "Whatever, I'm too cool to keep talking about this" post (which is of course followed by 2 more posts in the next 8 minutes), and the post saying that the people who were offended are weak-minded.
katism then brings this up AGAIN in a different thread, this time including foreigners with his condemnation of black people. (As an added bonus, see him totally miss the point of noelleleithe's response post!) And let's not forget the scary "Let's all make racist statements TOGETHER!" thread, which is capped by insulting graphic #2.
I'm not sure I've ever seen someone wank their own thread so much! Perhaps he and his hand need to get a room.
