8:05a - Yet another ![[info]](http://www.journalfen.net/img/userinfo.gif) knitting wank.
What is it about the knitting community that causes so much wank?
coflower posts to the community asking a question about how to fix the yarn in her current project. Despite her long-winded, swear-word filled ramble, she manages to get a few helpful responses. tashabear even draws her a diagram to explain how to fix her stitches. When coflower bitches about how tight the yarn is, tashabear makes a a throwaway comment about not using acrylic (e.g. cheap) yarn for your projects.
And then the bitch-gloves come off. Some highlights:
"I've been using acrylic yarn for longer than most of you have been alive."
"Fiber snobs make baby Jesus cry."
"Next time I have a problem I won't consult here because yarn snobs really make me want to punch kittens."
"I'm not a snob!" "Are too!" "Am not! No tagbacks!"
The wank continues in various threads as people pop up to defend both coflower and tashabear, along with the usual why can't we all just get along? comments.
tashabear finally decides to leave the sandbox after all the abuse. But literally two hours later, she comes back to the community, linking to a whiny post from coflower's journal and proclaiming that the bitch is back.

"Please stop wanking before we get put on LJDrama again!"
Seriously, I thought knitting was supposed to relieve tension, not cause it.

9:18p - Mock The Stupid
Lyamandmorri posts to mock_the_stupid here with the heading PHD's mean shit. Some get annoyed that she isn't giving PhD holders enough respect, and so people respond with tales of rocket scientists who can't tie their own shoelaces.
Well, at least it isn't CrystalWank. Yay?

10:10p - Quizilla Wank
Just when I thought that there couldn't be anything weirder than Knitting Wank, we have Quizwank!
At the Quizilla community, we have a bunch of people complaining about "who's your anime boyfriend" type quizzes.
Some choice bits:

i messaged some of the quizmakers telling them to come here to see how much everyone else hates their quizzes.
And I'm sure they came a-running, too.
They're taking up space and most of them have the story quality of a 3 year old's. There used to be GOOD quizzes in the Highest Rated list, but now the stupid dating quizzes are taking over. They're starting to creep into the Most Popular quiz list too, as many people have no choice but to access them. Quizilla should ban them or at least do something.
Yes...I heard that, somewhere in Siberia, "quiz access" was forced upon unsuspecting farmers by the government.
This has been buggering me for a while, and it's about time someone said something. Is anybody else ticked off that these things, not even real quizzes, cloud the highest rated list? I mean, all those vampire quizzes with links to that game were one thing, but this is crossing a line.
I guess that "which phobia are you" is a "real" quiz topic?
If I didn't spend the last week at Wankstock, this would probably make more sense.
