There's been a meme going around my flist lately in re: Fahrenheit 9/11, to wit:

Funny, right? Well, I chuckled. So anyway, it finally gets metaquoted, and most of the responses, including mine, are along the lines of, "Hey, that would be pretty funny, huh?"

10:34p - Vintage sex wank.
The vintage_sex community on LiveJournal is a popular place to get pictures of really old boobies. Community policy is to put hardcore pictures behind an lj-cut; softcore pics can be put out in the open.
Not that everyone is happy about this. During the community's existence, there have been many flamewars over whether or not to put pictures behind an lj-cut. There's the "use filters, dumbasses" camp, and there's the "filters are a pain, and YOU'RE the dumbasses" camp. There hasn't been a wank about it in a while, though, since the mods got fed up.
A new member, angiecita, unaware of this history, innocently stumbles in:
I adore all the loverly pictures of nakie ladies, but I work in a lab and share an office with some people. Can I request that people put the pics behind cuts so I don't constantly have boobies on my computer screen? She's told about filters, and to her credit, seems to accept that solution, but it's too late to stop the wank. In particular, a user named styggie seems peeved beyond the point of logic: And let me point out something to you all who read lj at work. There are computers that log every single url your view from work to monitor what workers are doing in all companies that have IT departments. So i suggest instead of complaining about boobies on your screen, you realise that your more likely to be fired because youre viewing something with SEX in the url. Styggie is all over the entry. It's worth seeing.

EDIT: vintage_sex's mod has been contacted by LJ Abuse regarding underage members in the community. The community will now be members-only and only people who have a listed age of over 18 in their user info will be allowed to remain members. Does this have something to do styggie noticing that a commenter is under 18 during the wank? You be the judge.
