Over in the lj community cross-stitch They have a low thresh-hold for what they consider trolling behavior.
It started when ckat41 posted a pledge regarding Hobby Lobby's sales with a very political icon. Naturally some-one posts their own opinion about the icon and Ckat41 objects to a non member posting in the community. Not much to see there, but it lays some framework.
But later midnightangelc posts a rant about all the trolls* who have been visiting the community recently. In the comments people begin espousing the view that no-one should ever post anything that doesn't involve cross-stiching(even though the rules don't prohibit off-topic posts, and don't regulate anything in the comments)
The whole time I'm watching and thinking about just how incredibly thin-skinned some of the people are.
*Now there was a more serious/amusing event of anonymouse trolling involving copyright infringement but it was deleted before I could save and share it.
