10:46a - Careful with the icons, the LJ Police will arrest you.
Although this happened in the angelinajolie fandom community, this is an icon wank, so I'm posting this here on OTF_Wank. It's a short one.

3:37p - Of respect, sexism, patriarchy, and not getting the point
Over in ![[info]](http://stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif) feminist, ![[info]](http://stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) drinkissdaisy makes what (for a feminist community) should be a fairly innocuous post.
What becomes the centre point of the wank is this:
i was at the bus stop and when the bus came i told the boy that wanted to go in too that he could go first with the hand-gesture that you do when you tell people to go first. and he looked at me weird and insisted i go in first... and i did, but i don't know, it made me feel strange that he wouldn't go in first.
Everything is normal, until ratherberucking decides to give her opinion:
It's not an insult, it's a sign of respect.
She and drinkissdaisy wank all over the post.
ETA: I know a wank thread is the last place you would expect to find voices of reason, but I'm a sucker for linked definitions that clear things up, so I had to share degasita's post:

10:54p - Who knew such great wank was hidden in my flist?
Idlers_dream, blinded_dream and gifted_dream recently acquired matching journal names and traded passwords. This prompts gifted_dream (Erika) to make a post on Idlers_dream's (Suzy's) journal about how annoying she, Erika, is. Then blinded_dream (Sita) gets in on it, decribing her sex romps with Suzy's English teacher.
The post is all good-natured teasing... until Suzy's friend mylittleprince0 decides that she is going to DEFEND SUZY FROM THE EVIL HTML ARTISTS OF DOOOOOOOM.
Look who ever is bothering my friend better stop! You or whom ever needs to start acting like a mature adult and not some young 2 year old or middle school aged kid that has nothing better to do than to stir up trouble. I know midterm exams are coming around. Don' you guys realize my friend has enough to deal with from school to family matters. If you don't truly understand that you guys probably haven't been her true honest friend from the start.
It's really the funniest thing I've seen all night.
