3:51p - You're shorthand sucks.
You'll understand the title once you read the mini-wank.
It all starts on the LJ herpers community.
shkittlez posts about a veiled chameleon that she's selling.
Some people don't like this. Evidently this person tends to buy a lot of animals then sells them off for extra cash. Not sure about the backstory here.
Someone else asks the usual, "Why is it that every time you comment on someone's post it's always some negative/flaming comment?"
It degenerates from there.
Others bitch about the seemingly shitty condition in which the chameleon is kept.
The teenaged OP defends herself by saying she's "in dept", which is why she can't afford to house her chameleon properly.
Arguments about horrible grammar break out. People attempt to say "your" is shorthand for "you're". Just TRY to convince them otherwise.
...annnnnd people start leaving!

4:15p - PP and Plan B...go!
Someone posts in vaginapagina about a Planned Parenthood that is going to be offering Plan B pretty much hassle-free. The thread is pretty much making with the "yay!" until bambenek comes along and confuses everyone. Or at least he confused me.
EDIT: It seems bambenek has crossposted to several threads, and has also joined in a similar thread here in the chambana community.
Best quote so far:
muliebrity: You know, you're right. I'm not really prolife. I really want to KILL ALL TEH BAYBEEZ IN TEH WORLD. No. I want to prevent unplanned pregnancies so that abortion doesn't even enter to picture. It's called being sensible. While you go and scream on your soapbox all day about the evils of EC, I'll spend my time educating women about birth control. I guarantee my method of creating the need for less abortions would be more effective than yours.
bambanek: Maybe, but I guarantee my method will have women not being used as sex toys.
Why do you believe that women are worth nothing more that a recepticle of some random men's sperm? I guess maybe I have more respect for the equality and dignity of women then that.
bambanek - his logic is not only not from earth, it is not even from this solar system!

8:58p - I'm not closed minded, anime is teh lame.
So, Howl's Moving Castle is a recent release (in Japan and not heathen locales) of acclaimed Japanese director Miyazaki. It is coming to the United States, to the delight of many fans of anime and Miyazaki alike!
However all is not well in IMDB message board land.
It seems prettykitti is a big fan of the book, but not so much of the movie (well, at least the idea of it, she doesn't want to see it, not even for 99 cents): Whoever decided to make this into a japanese animated cartoon is an idiot and I hope somthing happens and it can't be released.
Anyways. So people reason, the Iraqi war and American Idol, and some zen:
Perhaps you should actually see the film before forming such a extreme opinion. Though what does it matter now. Your narrow mind had already made its decision.

10:34p - Mocking the Mockers
jenniferjayde posts a short, amusing anecdote to Mock The Stupid about a coworker asking if Cinco de Mayo was May 8th ((Cinco de Mayo is Spanish for Fifth of May)). It's rejected, and the rejecting mod gives the reason of "I don't get it."
Undeterred, she resubmits it, including the Mod's reply, and this time it's accepted. She says, "Let's see if they're modest enough to be able to mock themselves."
Mod Opalcat is offended deeply, OMG.
At 156 comments at last check. :D
Edit: For clarification, OP and coworker live in Phoenix, AZ, giving said coworker NO EXCUSE not to know what Cinco de Mayo is.
