6:19a - Admit It: You're Just Trying to Impress the Hippies
Over on the vegetarian community, turningthekey decides that it's time to get serious about animal cruelty as only a truly wanky LJer could: by writing up an ultimatum and threatening to de-friend anyone who doesn't fall in line. He has devised a stringent set of rules for determining who is cruelty-free enough to be his LJ buddy:
"Anyone who does not do all of the following will be unfriended exactly one week from today. I will leave this post public so that even after you get unfriended you can come back, do this, and be refriended.
1 - If you are a vegetarian or vegan then say, "I am a vegetarian/vegan."
2 - If you are neither a vegetarian nor a vegan then explain why and engage in a discussion with me about it (respond to my replies.)
3 - Copy and paste this entire message into your journal.
4 - Keep in mind that I am neither bullying you into becoming a vegetarian/vegan nor am I saying that you have to be a vegetarian/vegan to be my friend."
"And, do not pretend that if you don't do this that it is for any reason other than that you don't care enough about the suffering of animals to lose and debate livejournal friends."
Do what I say or the bunny gets it!

1:33p - Asexuality Wank
Over at the asexuality community, the_faery_queen (who, I'm convinced, is responsible for ninety-some percent of the wank in that community) posts about how she thinks porn models earn too much money. Lots of links here, for it is a cornucopia of stupidity and spooge.
She then goes on to say that singing is worthless and requires no effort. (Apparently, all those times my voice teachers lectured me for not practicing, they were just yelling for the sake of yelling.) And why should anyone care about music when there's starving children out there?
She also freely admits that she won't listen to any of the objections being raised; demands (in an exclamation mark laden post) that someone "calm the fuck down"; and, regrettably, does not follow through with her promise to not pay any more attention to a poster who's disagreeing with her.
A snarky comment saying that she is behaving in the same way that she herself condemns in others is met with wanktastic screeching.
Some of her histrionics about how sex workers have no self esteem devolve into grammar wank (including the typical "it doesn't matter how I spell things it's just the Intarweb!!!1!!" and "it's not my fault I'm a shitty typist I'm dyslexic!!one!").
Most terrifying of all? "as i have said i am a published writer!"

"deviant"Art has come a long way from the days when one of the options for the user-type under your name was "Pornographic Connoisseur".
Lots of wank in the comments, and people pointing out the obvious, especially the porn making the Daily Deviations because they haven't passed the memo onto the admin. And obligatory furry-bashing.
Particularly hilarious is the guy who had the inflation pr0n favved and his vigilante-style mission to educate us to the evils of dA.
Also, Godwin's! But I think we need a similar law for Iraq...
