So there's this website, Feministing.com, which brings out my inner gerund fascist with regard to its title, but which otherwise appears to be a fairly decent feminism-related website.
And then we get to the forums.

5:14p - Customers_suck, disabilities and childfree
jamieavalon posts to customer_suck, including a rant about a person calling him/her on speaking louder an clearer, calling him an asshole (something pretty standard for that community).
neurobabe comments saying that maybe that customer had a disability one of her kids has.

As the mom of three disabled kids (all different disabilities), I can tell you that it's definitely not easy for *anyone* concerned, but if people who are supposed to be 'customer service' are more tolerant, it might be a bit easier for everyone.
