5:39p - More non-HP wank from the wank_report
After weeks and weeks of LJers bitching in locked posts about the sudden splooge of large graphics attached to fics cluttering up their friends list and making their lives difficult (especially since half these graphics are not work safe), someone finally takes the plunge and brings it out in the open.
It all starts with this:

Sharvie, you see, believes that because she likes seeing graphics, everyone should like it too. To be fair, she does put her large graphics under an ljcut, but she resents being told that when posting to a community, some people would rather not see her graphics, no matter what size what size they are.
The gem in this post isn't that (all people are allowed to disagree). It's that everyone should be on DSL and if they're not, they should STFU.
It starts off with a lot of WORD!
Things get nasty when a bunch of people ride in and take issue with people not putting graphics under an ljcut.

6:24p - Smallish telemarketer wank
Ah, customers_suck. The spooge flows from thee like a veritable fountain.
The thread starts as a tale of minor woe by dimethirwen about some strange and angry responses from people she's made telemarketing calls to. There's a lot of friendly commiseration, and aside from one bitter and vindictive ex-telemarketer things are fine.
Then we get this rant by a guy called markfinn. He tells the telemarketer what a horrible person she is, blasts her for daring to post in the comm, and winds up with: Get a real job, get some actual customers, and then you will have reason to whinge here. Telemarketting sucks ass, and anyone foul enough to do it for a living needs to seriously reconsider their life choices. houstondragon feels this is kind of overkill.
Markfinn busts out with a precise mathematical formula for why telemarketers are scum. We also have a bit of a discussion about people being stupid about the Do Not Call registry. The OP defends herself by pointing out that actually the people she calls ARE her customers, and Markfinn blows her off. Dbaxdevlisfan and yukies1013 try to gently point out why telemarketers might not necessarily be the minions of Satan per se, and nameistoad offers his brilliant solution to the telemarketing scourge.
Smallish, but with a satisfying amount of self-righteousness and the potential to grow.
