11:22p - Elitist wtf-inc wank
Small but pretentious: palmer_kun on wtf-inc makes a post about Frank the LJ goat peeing.
People joke about it, and palmer_kun gets a bit high and mighty about portals, but it's not wanky until _staralfur_(his userinfo is highly amusing; I recommend a perusal) shows up with a post entitled "pointless" in which he says, "This community is officially a notch, intellectually, below High Times magazine."
People call "hypocracy" when he says he's just joined yesterday, and ask for examples of quality communities on LJ, which he then lists. Palmer_kun and other wtf-inc-ers are less than impressed with his list, which includes a rating community and a former rating community.
_staralfur_ comes back with "I'm not elite you just suck," a post that says, "I could come up with 40 if I wanted. The number ain't important. Inane? Don't understand? You're either stymied by language & art or just ignorant. Work on that." Regarding the rating community, he says to palmer_kun, "It's not overly arrogant & is filled with people teeming to give you recommendations if you don't succeed at getting in (which you wouldn't)."
Palmer_kun says, "You ever consider that I just don't like the crap you're passing off as 'art'? Everyone's definition of good varies. You think it's all 'deep' and 'quality'. I think it's inane and pointless.
Not overly arrogant?

Other people chime in (rastmin just posted, "OK, fuck off then, see if we care"), but it seems to be primarily between those two and relatively short.

It all starts out as a Godawful News thread about a rape victim being denied the morning after pill by a local pharmicist.
People naturally boo and hiss however this being a volatile subject (it seems all you have to do is *mention* abortion and people get riled)several small wanks break-out.
