10:17a - Knitting Wank again!
Over on Livejournal -- a post about an artist in Arizona who just got a gallery exhibition for his handknit superhero costumes. The OP mentions in the subject head that it's a guy who made them.
The rest of the community comes in to angrily shout "why make a big deal out of it being a guy who did this?"
I'm finding it hard to pick highlights. I'm in there once, but not so much wanking as providing amusing (I hope) commentary.

2:03p - My first wank report!

Sorry, but I have to come down on the "not very stupid" side of that. Apart from the obvious debate over who actually wrote "Shakespeare's" plays; we learn more and more not to take what we learn in school at face value. When I was a kid, we learned that there were "four food groups" (that you need bread, meat, dairy and fruit or veggies at every meal) and that George Washington chopped down a cherry tree and then confessed to it because he was so honest. Later they told us that that the Vietnam War protestors were wrong and breaking the law...but even though we learned it all in school, it was all bullshit. And if you went around spouting that crap in real life, you'd look like an idiot.
My buddy's kid watched a show in school that was a "biography" of Satan. That kid came home scared shitless that Satan was a real guy, and angry that no one ever told him the danger he was in before. So no...just because you heard it at a school does not make it so.

3:23p - Goth Vengeance and BRPS: The Romance that wasn't Meant to Be
*ahem* A friend of mine noticed this wank going on, and pointed it out to me. Now it's here for everybody to enjoy!
Once upon a time, a very lovely young lady had the ever loving shit beat out of her by this punkass bitch. Word of the event is posted, in the hopes that this guy can be brought to justice. People are encouraged to spread the word, which generally isn't a bad idea...
That is, until somebody spreads it to the Bad RPers Suck community.
Reactions are varied. Included in that link of magic and wonder are people complaining about the lack of LJ cut, people complaining about the people complaining, some cries of vengeance, claims that "you're only upset because she's pretty" and general apathy about the event. Such is the way of the internet. Either way, it's a veritable grab bag of reactionary posts.

Not really suck, but a WTF moment that had me sulking angrily for a while.
All is well, she receives "WTF indeed", "good response", "what an impolite bitch" comments, until hatsumomo jumps in.
I don't see what's so bad about the first story. She was just asking when you were due and you basically called her fat? O_o
Which might be a valid question and first the discussion is on a rational level of "Just a question" vs. "privacy invasion."
dianawinters and musical_soul point out here and here that it this is simply nothing to ask a pregnant woman.

8:05p - Childfree Furries: Stupid or Not?
jenglo posts to stupid_free regarding the establishment of furry_childfree (which pretty much what it sounds like.)
The OP is a little short on details as to why, exactly, this qualifies as "stupid" as opposed to merely odd (especially given that the comm is rather new and only has three entries), and several members (led by bcampbell and victoly ) call her on this.

Maybe I've misunderstood the point of this community, but the stupidity of this post is, I think, subjective. I think it's stupid. It may sound arrogant of me to say this, but that's really what matters, isn't it? To pull out all the stops and quote some of the userinfo:

If you don't think it's stupid, that's fine. I do.

Sorry for spamming , but my communities are very prone to wank today. Must be the weather.
Seems as if booju_mooju has been trolled. And that very effectively, two pages and the splooge is still flying.
What do you all think about the decline of the traditional family and it's relation to the break down of our society?
I agree with the well-respected psycholigist and parenting expert, Dr. James Dobson, that the decline of tradtional families is the single most important issue we face today because it incompesses so many other important issues like abortion, gay marriage, the gay agenda, crime, education and more. People are so selfish these days and they have children but don't care about taking care of there children. For example when people get divorced or the wife works outside the home or even worse they have children before marriage, they aren't thinking about the damage their doing to there children.
Do you all think that it is important to preserve the concept of traditional families or that is ok to do things that harm your children?

Interestingly enough, there's very little actual wankage about abortion itself. Instead we have mrflagg questioning what difference it makes if the woman was raped and asking the stunningly tactful question, "WTF difference does it make how it got there?", niki090909 blaming the lack of sex education in schools, pert_embrace proclaiming the article to be "a bunch of tripe", and finally some bonus mini-wank about terminology. It's a veritable smorgasbord!

In parenting101, goodgirlzero posts a seemingly innocuous little post asking for advice about housing while she and her fiance are attending school.
Blainthemono brings up the "mellenium scholarship," but chrispina (owner of this earlier comment) is a little displeased:
some of us prefer it the way it is in the US where people have to take responsibility for their actions and not live off the taxes of others so they don't have to lower themselves to take a "shit job" to support their family. some of us think that the US already has far too many social welfare programs.
Blaininthemono tries to explain the difference (though falters with "I forgot that about half the people in the states are conservative idiots"). Naturally, it's all downhill from there with a one-on-one States vs. Canada pissing contest.
