4:00p - Debunking White Takes on International Adoption
Over on Debunking White, ![[info]](http://www.journalfen.net/img/userinfo.gif) recumbentgoat posts an article about international adoption titled "Bought Colored Kids"* that begins Along with dreadlocks and a non-white lover, the coolest accessory of the white liberal “left” these days is a bought colored kid. Most of the commenters are pretty civil, but man does the thread go on forever and a few exchanges get more than a bit heated.

In cf_hardcore, mero posted about how a kid stepped on her toe, she told the kid to be more careful, the mother said something insulting (OR DID SHE?) and then mero insulted the woman back for using food stamps to buy her groceries.
About half the members of cf_hardcore don't applaud her smackdown. They figure that belittling people for being on social assistance is going too far. Arguments ensue about whether the woman was rude or not, whether mero is too bitchy to people who bump into her, whether cf_hardcore is becoming too PC, and if mero's remark about the food stamps was actually an insult.
mero: "I didn't say it as an insult. I said it to indicate that she should think of all the input that goes into that card, so she should accept it coming from a stranger."
