4:28p - You can never get too much breastfeeding wank, can you?
Over on LJ comm "pregnant", a mother-to-be takes exception to The Breastfeeding Campaign.
The comm does not take it well.
I'm in there a couple times at the beginning, but my comments didn't contribute to the wank, so I'm putting it here. I'd include spoogy excerpts, but the damn thing grew from ten comments to 100-plus in five minutes flat and quite honestly, I'm afraid to look.
ETA: The OP's (![[info]](http://www.journalfen.net/img/userinfo.gif) asuos</lj>) post was apparently prompted by the response to an earlier post of hers, wherein she asked advice on baby products, including bottles. I can't find that post, but if anyone else tracks it down, I'll link it.
Meanwhile, the wank has spread: both to asuos's LJ, where she cross-posted, [son-of-ETA -- baleeted! and the OP has apparently been banned from the comm] and to this later post by prime_radiant</lj>. The latter is friends-locked, but the community is open membership.
Cousin-of-ETA: Bahleeted! And just when it had occurred to me to go make copies, too. I am a dingbat. Happily, iwanttobeasleep saved the first page down in the comments. Also, hobbit-kicking mouse found the earlier post by the OP, which is here.

7:39p - A picture's worth a thousand opinions!
In the community foundphotos, iamcam_camiam posts a picture of an impoverished family outside of their home in Haiti.
The first couple of comments call the picture 'beautiful', and that's what sets off misslaura: "Beautiful? Poverty has aesthetic value?"
There are then several arguments in the thread over if it's right or wrong to refer to the picture as 'beautiful'.
ohhbackseatlove tries to get the community to 'cut him some slack', which of course only results in more arguments.
Wow. Who would have guessed a photograph someone accidentally dropped at Target would ignite such a fury?

Predictably, people take exception.

10:52p - Prego_Drama lives up to it's name!
Apparently, pregnant teens are the internet's new punching bag! But then, you just KNOW a comm named "prego_drama" has to bring in the wank in at least a weekly basis! Wank erupts on both sides here, and leaves no one looking any better for it.
