2:24a - Tattoos = Addiction?
Well this is new! Found via a friend ranting on her LJ.
About a week ago, Dr. Phil did a show on Parenting Dilemmas. One guest brought her daughter onto the show because she used to be a fresh-faced all-American beauty, but now, with seven tattoos, she looks like a freak!
Over on the message boards, wank occurs the day after the episode airs. Most posters are angry that tattoos are seen in such a negative light, especially when it's only a form of self-expression. But by the second page, we have people running around saying that if God wanted us to have tattoos, we'd be born with them. And then poster ladybug11 shows up and posts that tattoos are bad and ugly and against God kthx!!!1 Several times.
Everyone seems to ignore her...for a while. But then luckynum13 has decided he's had enough by about page 4. And from there, it begins to devolve into a wankfest between lucky and ladybug for the rest of the page, with other posters throwing in their 2 cents every so often. Later on we get Bible passages from jeezlouez about not screwing with your body because it's a sin! By page 6, it seems to calm down, but ladybug keeps popping up to express her views.
All in all, a rather mild yet TL;DR kind of wank. It's currently at 24 pages, and seems to have fizzled out. But who knows?

9:29a - Craigslist Missed Connections Stalker Drama! Local media picks it up!

Evxanadu is a lonely, horny fellow who is given a friendly wave by a young girl he deems "SHY GIRL" while out jogging.
He very quickly becomes obsessed and maybe a tad creepy.
He can't find the girl a fourth time and she hasn't contacted him yet. He makes fliers and posts them around the jogging path.
He posts three consecutive times to CraigsList Missed Connections.
Here, he hits a nerve, instantly earning the nickname of Scary McRaperape.
There are many, many wanky reaction posts, from the snide and brief to the philisophical and tl:dr. Some posts sort of defend him , even going so far as to quote existential writers.
Evxanadu waffles , regrets and backpedals a little.
Evidently it is a slow news day in Minneapolis, as the local Fox news franchise catches wind of the story over the weekend and runs a brief feature. Evxanadu is there with the transcript.

cassandrakfreaq compares the breast feeding icon incident to black oppression.
calilillie and prime_radiant are fighting for the boob nazi side in several places, prime_radiant is mostly telling people not to comment on a community post they don't agree with.
Also, a comment to cassandrakfreaq regarding their comparison of the boob nazis and black oppression was deleted. Is this an indication of more bahleetion in the future?
ETA: Replies against the boob nazis are being frozen! Perhaps it's time to take screencaps.
ETA #2: As a bonus, a mousie sent me a link to a new press release about a planned nurse-in at Six Apart's headquarters.
