4:59a - Beware the Stealth Octopi
I've never seen YouTube wank (admittedly, I wasn't looking very hard), and I have a feeling it's worse than IMDB wank on the food chain. But this one amused the hell out of me.
Over at YouTube, sleboss posts a video about an invisible Octopus. The video itself was posted back in February, and only received a few comments from people impressed with the skills of the octopus. Then, YouTube went and featured the video...
...and all hell broke loose.
Unfortunately, I don't think you can link to individual comments, but they are all on that one page. All 1188 of them (last counted at 4:30 am or so EST.)
The first comments after the video was featured are still admiring of the octopus. A couple forum-standard insults are thrown, nothing wanky. CreativeS2dio thinks it looks fake, and cdg76 just wants to remind us that "everytime a blue whale jizms it spews 400 GALLONS of jizz, 10% of it actually makes it into the female (cow i believe) leaving 360 GALLONS of jizzm lingering in the water. and you wonder why the ocean is salty?" The octopus is compared favorably with "chamelions."
Finally tfsproductions comes along and agrees with CreativeS2dio, and the fight over whether the octopus is a miracle of nature or a miracle of CG begins in earnest. Sides are taken, tempers flare, and WikiPedia citations are thrown out like weapons. (Octopus; Chromatophore)
It's long and painful, and mostly tl;dr, but keep reading for some arguments about whether God or evolution is responsible for the octopus in the first place. (Maybe God has a video editor, who knows.) Ektelestes keeps the wank coming (and it doesn't appear to be done) and argues for the spelling of "oktapus."

Orange: We had ads on the television for a month!
Me: That won't help, I don't watch Dutch television.
Orange: Well, as far as we're concerned we did all we needed to do to inform you.
Most of the replies agree that this is bad service, but mathilde replies to inform the OP that, basically, it's her own fault that she doesn't watch television, and a wanky time is had by all.

coldweather9 posts first saying that the foundation of capitalism is responsibility, and ergo, the foundation of socialism is irresponsibility. S/h/it then proceeds to shoot down anyone that argues with them, apparently citing the Bible as evidence. S/h/it also claims that capitalism is 4,000 years old.
That's not all, though! coldweather9 shows up to make another post, this time declaring capitalism to be a natural force, and saying that anyone that calls s/h/it out on its what-the-fuck-ery doesn't understand capitalism, and must have it explained to them. Repeatedly. Be sure not to miss the smiley-face side wank.
Small-ish (still under a hundred comments), but growing.
