2:49p - Savage Wank
For those of you who don't read Savage Love, it's a love and sex advice column written by Dan Savage. His readers tend to be towords the kinky, freaky and perverted, and so are the questions. Dan is also well-known for being highly political(perhaps you know what "santorum" means?) and something of a dick occasionally.
Now that we have introductions out of the way...the wank.
Fact about Dan Savage: He is painfully biphobic. Really, really, admittedly biphobic. He is also throughly bitter about the gay marriage issue.
And so he delivers unto us this column, which is steadily become par for the course: Dan Savage is mad as hell (at everyone who can get married) and he's not gonna take it anymore.
However, his fans are dramatically split: those who agree with Dan, and those who do not at all. Internet fights ensue in spades starting with the first comment.
There's enough "don't like, don't read" for everyone!
rosiposi would be a douche to zir readers too! And Dan's political problems > someone's sexual issues! So nyah!

In it, she describes her frustration with him—not informing her when work is going to be done on the house, despite it being outlined in her lease, and the like. lovecrafty takes issue with this, and trolls her journal, but not before posting on anti_feminism! The first half of the post is standard, mocking a weird post to feminist_rage. The second half of the post? You guessed it—dedicated to calling out batgirl20 for being racist/classist.
From the first comment, the wank begins.

Your second point, about batgirl20, is, of course, your usual fingerpointing, judgmental hysteria about people being classist and racist everywhere. No, Ken, the world is sadly not as full of closet racists for you to pick on as you obviously think it is. It was clear from batgirl20's original post that there was no racism or classism going on, only some legitimate fear about female tenants having their privacy invaded by workmen. Her original post contained nothing remotely classist or racist. (Other readers of this post can easily read that for themselves: no mention of race a'tall. Sorry)
Unless, of course, you typed that tongue-in-cheek and were just kidding. . . .

Your opinion on racism is not valid in my eyes David, because you yourself are a racist and refuse to acknowledge it. So really, all your comment serves is to once agin show your complete defensiveness at the very idea that somewhere someone (who isn't a minority) might be racist. And why are you so defensive? Because you are a racist.

It only gets better as the comments progress, most notably with bull stepping in to argue that batgirl20's landlord is entirely within his right to enter her apartment without notice, despite what the lease says. Discussion is mostly-civil, with lovecrafty stepping into wank downthread, till peachthief shows up to voice her two cents.
Finally, we have the crowning moment of wank: misplacedmind calls lovecrafty out for 'being a serious asshole' in batgirl20's journal. This, however, isn't what brings the wank. Instead, there's sidewank as hexennatch enters the thread, and is immediately accused of stalking lovecrafty. Apparently, all lovecrafty knows how to say is "die painfully."
In the meantime, batgirl20 posts an apology to feminist_rage, for possibly coming across as being classist/racist (despite the fact that her original post mentions nothing of race).
A quick summary? lovecrafty is insane, the rest is TL;DR.
