7:08p - Like a Pheasant! (Animal Rights Wank)
I know, [info]ohnotheydidnt is wank central, therefore poking fun is kind of like making fun of someone's incurable limp. But this one amused me in particular, all for the repetition of a certain word.

So, apparently Madonna has imported a buttload of baby pheasant chicks to grow up on her vast, sprawling estate in the UK. Anybody that either knows about the traditional past-times of the stodgy old English upper crust, or is actually living in the UK, will tell you that this kind of lark happens every year. It's no big deal. Shoot the birds, eat the birds, right? It's like fishing with bullets and doggies and horses. (If I'm wrong, let me know and I'll make corrections).

But the largely US folk over at ONTD are up in arms at this animal rights violation! Drama ensues! And the breaking out of one of the most taboo swear-words en masse!

Like a whining ray of liiiight... Warning, bad swears abound... )
It's a young wank yet, but knowing ONTD, it could grow beautifully.

current mood: amused

7:18p - FYI: pro musicians wank just as hard as internet kiddies.
Last night Jurassic Park wank: tonight Neil Finn wank. It's all I could have ever dreamed of.

So anyway, a whole bunch of higher-up New Zealand musicians, like Dave Dobbyn, Bic Runga and Our Man Neil, apparently totally like dissed NZ Idol. Actually, apparently it went more like this:

Dave Dobbyn: ZOMG IDOL IS LYK SO NOT ELITE

Bic Runga: lol idol is 4 playa hatas

Neil Finn: Actually, I didn't say anything about it, but now you mention it...

So the judges have canned the Split Enz tribute show and challenged all the musicians to come onto the show and prove they're not, like, totally musical elitists.

Sadly, not Neil's wankiest moment. But at least Tim likes it, and it's funny for anyone who likes Australasian music.

*uses Neil icon pointedly*
