ETAx2: I edited this post a little after realizing some of the wording was coming across in ways I didn't intend. Forgive me for I am very much hopped up on cold meds right now.
ETAx3: Edited again to present both sides. I didn't realize this wank was going to turn into one on classism so I didn't prepare for it. I am at fault for not foreseeing that it would go beyond responsible parenting wank.
