11:58a - Separation of Church and State: because England is Roman Catholic or something
Last night, various people predicted wank about their states passing ballots, amendments to their constitutions, and other things. I just double checked to see if Arizona's Prop 107 (Ban on gay marriage, and limiting of rights for non-married couples in committed relationships) had passed or not. Arizona, it appears, did NOT pass the bill, by a 2% margin.
And lo, there is wank. There is really, really stupid wank.
( It's not like I voted yes because I care! )
( Gay, bigamy, it's all the same. )

( I missed the point, by about a solar system or three )
( Don't you idiots know history?! Separation of Church and State was from the Roman Catholic Church of England! )
And funny enough, there is a law (but not a constitutional amendment) that prevents same-sex marriage in Arizona, so people getting their panties in a bunch is even more amusing.
It's still growing. I started writing this up about 20 mins ago and 3 pages have gone up since then. There's a lot more in the link, but hell if I was gonna put all of it up here.
Edit: I realized the comments all blended together so I made it a bit easier to tell them apart, I hope?

Wired news posts an article about what could turn out to be good news for transpeople in New York City. Basically the possibility to change your gender on official documents with out needing full gender reassignment surgery.
The comments contain a lovely soup of idiocy, good points, missing the good points...
