10:38p - The Bible Says You Can't Flame The Weather Man!
While this may lack the spectacular explosiveness of other wanks, I think the fact that these dear folks are wanking over weather reports makes up for it.

Birmingham, Alabama is a town that hasn't seen a good snow storm since the good ol' blizzard of '93, when everyone walked up-hill both ways for their milk and bread.

Every winter the tantalizing prospect of snow tortures the snow lovers in the deep south. But since Mother Nature is a tease and hasn't been willing to put out lately, the folks who frequent the ABC 33/40 Weather Blog have decided to take things into their own hands.

There's lots of arguing about the GFS model's inability to predict the temps, so I'm going to take pity on the lazy and put most of the best stuff right behind this cut here... (which means it's long!)

Let he who is without sin flame the first weather man... )

Somewhat disturbingly, just about every post mentioning snow has something like this happening in the comments. And with bad weather rolling in, it's likely to get worse... and worse...

UPDATE: As of this morning, the entire blog has been put on moderated status.

First off this morning… we have had to put all comments on “moderation”. This means someone will look at it before it is posted. During the last 24 hours, we have had to delete posts with profanity, racial slurs, personal attacks, and rambling messages nothing short of insanity. The sad part about this is that 90 percent of comments are excellent. So, we welcome your comments; they just won’t show up as soon as you post them. Might be a few minutes; might be over an hour. We are running 18 hour days here, and we will do the best we can to get the comments through. Sad we are having to do this; you might expect this kind of stuff on a political or sports blog… but one about weather????? Wow.

"Bash-Away" Shane says his "fond adue":

Well… I guess with moderation being put into place only positive comments will be allowed. Why not go ahead and make this a “members only” blog? It’s just one more case where you are isolating yourself further.

Best of luck, seeing that nobody will see this post, I bid you a fond adue (probably didn’t spell it right).
