10:16a - That comment is triggering!!
I never thought I'd see the day. Over on the community ![[info]](http://www.journalfen.net/img/userinfo.gif) o_c_d, someone makes a post about a possible origin for her OCD. Poster artemidite comments about how the OP could have OCPD instead. Another poster backs this theory up. Apparently though, olmedina doesn't like this and asks the second commenter enlisted_smile if they went to grad school. And thus wank occurs. In a separate thread, OM complains about how some of the comments could be triggers for some people.
From there OM not only trolls E_S and alluringkailyn's LJs (comments either deleted or screened now), but also makes a Goodbye cruel internets post to the comm.
So... does anyone have a "Get out of my disorder" icon?

3:56p - Fun with Apple!
In which a misinformed blog posting causes stock droppage (maybe), panic (yes), and wank (definitely).
The chain of events goes something like this:
Engadget: ZOMG! The iPhone and Leopard are going to be delayed! Internal email says so!
Apple haters: IN YOUR FACE, APPLE!
Apple fans: Bullsh!t! Show us proof!
Apple stock: *thud*
Apple: Um, just one good goddamn minute. No. Not true. Here's an official press release and everything.
Engadget: Um. Oops. Sowwy.
Engadget commenters: *lots of shouting, including taking Engadget to task for printing something unsubstantiated*
Good times.
Mostly, I'd really like to see Steve Jobs's face right now -- I'm sort of surprised I didn't hear the blast in Cupertino all the way from Texas. And I'd really hate to be the Apple employee(s) who leaked the fake email to Engadget.
