Small but mildly satisfying feminist/fashion models argument.
_your_cocaine has a rant up regarding models and why they are anti-feminist. Somebody shows up to disagree. As I say, it's tiny but silly enough for a gander. I am all for looks not mattering in the grand scheme of things, but to insist that one ought not to notice any aspect of what people look like at all seems to be going rather far.

For the sake of completeness, I include the exact same rant posted here

I think the real stupid people are the ones who let seeing models make them feel bad about themselves. You can't fault a person for shakin' what their momma gave 'em, so to speak.

Or should I go over *there* and say that?

Good point. Sadly we're not all created equal and some people are smarter, better looking, and more likeable then others.

We can either feel bad about it or we can learn to get over ourselves.

I think we overemphasize physical appearance but models are such a small part of that, in the grand scheme of things.

And things sell better with models. Proven.

Shall I charter a jet for you to get over yourself?

Love,

I love how this cokehead, among other things, doesn't seem to know what the difference between an art model and a fashion model is. Because no one should ever learn to draw the human figure again, it's OMGopressive.

Ooh, and the boyfriend jumping in to defend her. Definitely points there.

And she doesn't care about appearance at all? Like, at all? Like, she'd cheerfully fuck Comic Book Guy if he asked? 'Kaaay.

I think that might be a girlfriend. Mind you, the info for her personal journal (according to the kissmyass_cosmo post, she had crossposted it there, but it turned out to be friends only) says that she is both a lesbian who could not possibly imagine having sex with a man, and married to a man. I don't know what's up with that, though.

I find it funny that someone who's so in favor of judging someone's merit based on his/her intelligence cannot compose a coherent sentence, let alone an entire argument.

And when I saw "tolken fat chick" (twice), I thought for a moment she was talking about an overweight female hobbit.

Trying this again.

Is _your_cocaine possibly maybe cobainxmortis/kdc_stigmatized under another new name? Lots of similarities there. Or maybe I'm just nuts.

So much badness.

I'm happily married and have been since April 3 2004. That means I am not on the market and I am not looking for anyone. I refer to my husband as "Pancakes" in this journal.

So does that mean she thinks she's married to a dead guy? I am so confused.

Kurt Cobain was murdered, don't argue with me, I'm right.

Crack. Pot.

Don't add me if...

-You think Kurt killed himself and/or you think Courtney Love is anything more than a trashy overglorified trailer trash slut.
-You're one of those "OMGZ KURT IS SEW HAWTT" or "I am so in love with kurt" because chances are I'll find you and stab you through the forehead. I hate people like that, it's stupid and childish. Grow up.
-You're shallow and/or critical.

TEH IRONY be crazy like whoa.
