our old friend, rfjason, posts in ditto_cops claiming that jameth has had his journal deleted and his email password reset by those evil bitches at frienditto.

how can it get any better? rfjason and frienditto. *rolls around in the wank gleefully*

I got halfway down the page and couldn't take anymore. These people make all my friends seem blessfully sane.

How does one say jameth's name, anyway? Like "Ja-meth" or like "James" with a lisp?

Either way. It came about because of a man he used to know who pronounced "James" with a lisp, but people started pronouncing it "Jay-meth" on the net, so he accepts either.

*snort* [info]jameth ran a poll - I think flocked - asking if he should just turn off his journal when he goes on vacation. I'm pretty sure that's what has happened.

Next, it's going to take me a little while, but I'm doing the legal research to see that Frienditto gets shut down, and that applicable penalties are brought against the people who ran it.

Yay! rfjason will save the internet!! Go, rfjason, go! Eyebrow Man will save us all from the evil frienditto-heads! *sparkles*

Two pages of wank even! That'll keep me occupied for awhile!

Can someone fill me in on who [info]jameth is? I gather one of the people who runs ljdrama.org? I'm missing a little background here.

I thought that [info]jameth was in on it. Isn't Frienditto run by the people who run LJ Drama? Or does LJ Drama eat their own, too?

(Reply to this)(Thread)

[info]fuzzytowers
2005-03-07 02:27 pm UTC (link)
He is. Yes, it is. I haven't been reading LJ Drama steadily enough to figure out if they would eat one of their own or not, but my best guess would be yes.

However, [info]jameth probably isn't having his leg gnawed by the flesh-eating zombies right now. This strikes me as just another elaborate LJ Drama hoax done up with a pretty polka-dot bow. [info]jameth is up there on the LJ Drama Grand-Pooh-Bah scale. I'm pretty sure he is the Grandest-Head-Funny-Hat, in fact. I could be wrong.

Something that's been bothering me: Frienditto has been around for a little while now - At least since mid-January, IIRC. I'm mystified why it popped up so suddenly and dramatically on the LJ radar. It's not like loads of people didn't know it was there. Why now?

Not that I don't completely trust [info]jameth and [info]rfjason. Yeah.

Ok, this is awesome for so many reasons.

1. I am no longer bored.

2. rfjason seems contrite (even if it is a hoax, it's hilarious to watch him admitting he's wrong).

3. Remember that scene in Labyrinth where Sarah has to figure out which of The Four Guards is telling the truth and it's totally a confusing logic problem and even after the scene is over you're still unsure of what they were actually talking about? Yeah. That's this Frienditto situation. Fucking fantastic.

This is better than the coverage of the OJ trial.

Looks like I copied and pasted this (http://www.prohq.com/imagehost/uploads/d184c96136.jpg) on the wrong LJ user. Right content, wrong user.

At least if this isn't an even more elaborate joke than FD itself.

There's a new message on Jameth's website.

Yup, we got this site too. Hello, Jameth hosts lulz.org on the same machine that hosts Frienditto. We took over this first and then got his LJ account.

As Jameth would say, “OH NOES!!!”

I'm still not buying it.
