Eh, you could have just locked the JF post (to go along with the locked LJ post, what fun). Nobody here would go and troll, or sure as hell better not.

But there's a reason why I personally don't post Weirdjews wank, even though it and WJ2 are by far the wankiest communities I belong to. It's not a Jewish thing, no... it's *because* they are by far the wankiest communities I belong to. I don't have the time, I'd be posting every damn day. :)

(I mean, in WJ2, the mod actually invited a guy to the community to ~~troll~~ post controversial topics in a ~~really needs to work on his humor~~ satirical way. And said mod still acts like a five-year-old about the mod of WJ over something two years past. What can you say to that? It's just too silly.)

Really, if people want wank, they should just friend the communities. L'havdil, it's like Trollprincess and Metaquotes. :)

	In the end they both gave me a headache, so I took them both off my friends list. (Though I am still a member, and went back and made a non-wanky comment on this.) I'm still looking for a good community where people can post honestly without being jumped on but I guess in any kind of community that would be too much to ask. I don't think there's such a community on the internet. :/ WJ2 takes itself not so seriously, on the whole, but even so it still has its trigger-happy denizens. That IndieJews or PunkJews or whatever that new community is called sounds ok, except I'm not very indie, I'm in WJ because I'm a geek and odd for my community. But mostly these days I read my LJ friendslist on a people-only filter, and leave all communities for when I feel up to it.

And the Jewish sex community is amusing, but I haven't friended it yet. Mybe one of these days... :)

By the same token,there's no obvious reason why one should be "chicken" about an otf_wank post. Personally, I'm gonna say it's a bad precedent -- if OP's give a fuck every time someone asks them to take down a wank, the wank comms would soon be little more than post-someone bitches-delete a few hours later.

Unless there's an extremely good reason, who gives a fuck if someone wants to get weepy over the posting of a wank?

If you're considering posting something that seems likely to create tension between you and a friend, or get you banned, then show a little common sense and don't fucking post it in the first place. My friends know I'm here at F_W, and they know I'm not going to wank them...if you have a great wank, but risk alienating someone, then show some restraint. JF will still be here tomorrow morning. I certainly would avoid wanking friends too, but that is not necessarily why the OP got asked to take it down. Last I checked, none of us had sooper-dooper mind-reading powers, and therefore knew ahead of time when posting a particular wank was going to cause problems.

And everyone is most certainly whining from where I'm sitting - oh no, the post got pulled, they can't laff at ppl anymore, our toy got taken away, CHIKEN! With numerous wanks being posted all the time, you'd think we could be adult.

Yeah, because people expressing the opinion that a wank posted to a community and replied to by its members shouldn't be deleted must be "whining," right? Your threshold for dealing with opinions you don't hold must be remarkably low, since the comments in reply do not come across as whiny in the least.

I'm not utterly opposed to deleting -- I've deleted at least one wank myself, without even asking the OP, because it violated a major rule of JF. But my points about deleting because "omg, someone objected!" remain valid. If the OP wants to participate in the comm, she, along with random passersby, will just have to suck it up when people object to her suddenly yanking it again. Most of us don't like seeing something we were participating disappear abruptly for without an excellent reason, and we say so. Deal with it.
