More knitting wank
The knitting community at LJ is wanking yet again. Twice in as many days, who knew they had it in them. It all starts here when a newbie asks an innocent question about Red Heart acrylic yarn.

The next day a post about the economics of knitting fans the flames. It's so called yarn snobs vs acrylic lovers aka trailer trash knitters.

There's actually quite a bit there; a suprising amount of it is fighting about not fighting.

But what if you knit with wool and acrylic stuff...at the same time?

Then you burn in hellfire. Or something. Haven't you read Leviticus? ;)

Oh, Leviticus is more 'if thou does covet thy neighbours skeins, thou shalt be beaten to death with ropes made of yarn.'

What if you use acrylics but you crochet? Does that put me in a box rather than in a trailer?

What if you crochet, and your yarn choices are based entirely on which brand happens to have the prettiest colors that day? (The local Michaels is really bad about consistently stocking the same colors in the same brands.) I am obviously teh crochet pl3b3!

You must live in the puddle next to my box. Maybe we should have a stitch n' bitch.

What makes that really funny is that a week or so ago, there was a post about patterns you never wanted to see again, which was surprisingly FREE of wank.

*shrug* Just goes to show that you'll never know what will set people off, I guess.
