This is great, so far I've read:

Poster 1: I hope the next Pope isn't as homophobic.
Catholic poster: OMG, don't be so disrespectful, he only died 5 minutes ago.
Poster 1: This isn't a church this is an LJ community, if you want to mourn him go to a fucking church.
Catholic poster: I think you should keep your opinions to yourself while there are obviously mourning Catholics here.

Poster 2: Give the man a break, he's almost 90, you can't blame him for being homophobic.

Poster 3: The Pope is like Hitler...

	I'm not a fan of the whole "He was old, you can't blame him for being homophobic (or racist, or sexist, or whatever)" rigamarole. Do people think tolerance was invented in 1975? 	Indeed, JOhn XXIII was older than old when he completely, radically revitalised the Catholic Church.
