"start a guerilla war...shorties vs tallies": More UC Davis LJ Comm Wank!
AnnaHam here, back with MORE UC Davis wank for your viewing mocking pleasure.

So, lisadeadly posts a rather angry rant about tall people and big-headed people sitting in front of others and screwing shit up because of the size of their heads...or something.

Predictably, people flip out.

Choice quotes:

saxmofo: Hey, here's a thought... DON'T BE A SLACKER and sit in the front! Or sit on a book if you're that much of a midget. Us tall people shouldn't have to develop neck and back problems because YOU are too stupid to figure out how to NOT sit behind tall people. DUH.

roeroica: start a guerilla war...shorties versus tallies.
get your facepaint and grenades ready!

And then there's this exchange, in which an anonymouse posts their email address, along with some advice for the OP. I do hope Mousey comes back and wanks even more.

It's small, yes, but oh so good.

I feel that the medium-height people are underrepresented. When do we get our time to shine?

I kind of agree with the OP, at least on the head-bobbing. Drives me fucking crazy when I'm at the theater or in class and the asshat in front of me is swaying back and forth as though they're trying to piss me off. I have found, however, that this happens with both average-sized people and tall people. It's less about the height for me, more about the readjustments. A little shift in your seat or crossing/uncrossing your legs is cool, it's the people who can't stop fidgeting who bug me.

You know, since you asked my opinion and all. :D

I agree, too. I'm pretty short, and I end up having to sit on books in order to see in class at times.

I feel like an ass doing it, but you can't always get a front row seat.

I want to get in on this guerrilla height battle! Although I am the family runt at 5'10, I come from a long line of tallies (skyscraperus indistinguishablus). My parents actually met each other in a club for tall people. My uncle (about 6'7) was barred from joining the military because he'd stick out of foxholes and use up too much khaki. My sister (6'2) is currently having an interesting time teaching in a small town in Japan.

I'm the family runt too--I'm 5'2, while my dad is 5'10, my brother is 5'8 and my mom is 5'7.

Your parents met at a club for tall people? That is beyond awesome.

What I want to know is, how to tall people even fit in those goddamned seats? I'm of average height and I've limped out of the theatre after the LotR movies several times because my knees get squashed.

(If there's ever elections for PResident of Earth, I will run for the position on a platform of peace, tolerance, human rights, and more legspace and porn for all. AND I WILL WIN!)

when I figure out the trick, I'll tell you. Mostly I just sit above the disabled seats now. Verily, it is glorious. Thank god the disabled people around here have better things to do than to watch the crap movies I always seem to end up at.

What is this thing about left handed desks they keep mentioning? *intrigued* Do they have these chairs with a tiny flapping-down writing board attached on one side or something?

Heh, I'm exactly 5 feet, and somehow, every time I go to see a movie, some six ten giant has to pick the seat right in front of me! I've tried the front row seats, yes, but then I have to watch with my neck in a very awkward angle. No wonder I don't go wasting perfectly good money just to get a sore neck or 1/3 of the visuals.

And what's the deal with left handed desks? Never seen those. What? I'm a lefty, and have no problems with our desks.

Oh, and whoever said the world is made for us short people? STFU. You know nothing.

Bitch, quit being short, you make my height look stupid. Not that she is short, no. Of course not. She's totally just getting outraged on behalf of well-adjusted random strangers.

I'm just barely over 5'0. I cannot honestly say that people with large heads have been a major problem in my life. The ones I can't stand are the people who can't keep their feet still. Especially in the rows with all the chairs that are connected. Dude, the novelty of getting carsick in class wore off by the second time, okay?

But then, I drag my laptop around with me to class on lecture days (hey, it takes me between twenty and twenty-five minutes to write a quarter of a page by hand. I type around 90 wpm), so I guess I'm just as evil as the tall people.

Wow college kids wanking about height. At my school some girl got a big chunk of the editorial section to complain about the drop-off points being eliminated. The thrust of her argument? It's too hot to walk to class.

Well, maybe she shouldn't have attended the University of Hawaii then.

EMBRACE THE METRIC SYSTEM, HEATHENS!

Honestly, the world looks much better when you're 173 as opposed to 5'8(ish). That, and you could use our wonderful definition for short people; "3 feet, 4 inches, and a dick" doesn't quite have that same oomph.
