Background:

Edinburgh has recently been provided with the spectacle of a potential suicide jumper who was planning to jump off North bridge (which goes over the station and thus provides a picturesque drop through a glass roof and into the station below).

The police closed the bridge and part of the station while they talked him down over a period of about two days. He is now safely down and in hospital.

The Wank:

lecabinet makes an informative post in edinburgers and all is relatively civil with updates and general complaints about the ensuing traffic problems.


All until becksinthecity equates suicide with terrorism.

_missfliss_ takes her to task... and is banned!

And then she comes back as fliss1982. Prompting an un-banning.

becksinthecity is also of the opinion that the American police (who of course subscribe to her suicide == terrorism theory) shoot potential suicides all the time. Luckily, she feels no need to back these opinions up with statistics.

Small I know, but enjoyable nonetheless.
