Fresh off being wanked for being a hypersensitive bint here, OpalCat issued the following missive (turning off comments, of course) to the citizens of Mock_The_Stupid:


A lot of people have criticized me for the way the community is run, and for daring to express frustration at receiving rude emails, etc. I also get complaints about the way the community is moderated.

The whiners seem to be saying that I should take more responsibility for things, and so I'm going to be making some changes this week.

First off, I will become the sole moderator of the community. This way there will no longer be a question of who accepted or rejected a given post, etc.
Second, the criteria for what gets accepted will be "whatever I think is stupid and funny enough".
Third, as I don't have a lot of time, posts may take a bit longer to get approved or rejected.
Fourth, I'm not going to put up with crap anymore. If you're rude to me, or I don't like the way you're acting, you're banned, plain and simple. Life is too short to try to be diplomatic with assholes.
Fifth, I will delete posts or comments that devolve into what I deem to be unneccessary ugliness or bickering, with or without warning.

Totalitarian? You betcha. But you know what? It's just LJ. You'll live.
