Breastfeeding wank (yes, again)
Most people know tmi_chix, the place for your daily Too Much Information About Other People (TM).

southernbelle14 posts about a woman breastfeeding on the beach after swimming and how she felt disgusted by what that baby must have swallowed.

Included is the line:

I know a lot of people will disagree with me, but to me, my biggest TMI other than vomit, is breast feeding in public without covering it up.And I'm sure someone is sitting back going its natural so just don't look at it.

But naturally, people do point it out.

Included are posts comparing peeing and breast-feeding, striptease and breast-feeding, discussions of when to feed your baby and the usual "I hope you don't have kids" and If you don't want your opinions disagreed with, don't post them to a community..

Still growing, but growing fast.

I don't see the big deal with breastfeeding in public. I mean, other people eat in public, don't they? I prefer they cover themselves up, but that's only because I get the urge to say "TEEHEE BOOBIES!!1!"

Then I find myself staring and I have to go ogle boys to remind myself that I'm straight.

The problem I had with covering up was it drew more attention to the fact you were breastfeeding than just very quietly snicking the baby under my shirt did. Instead of being a woman holding a baby whose face was...oh. Oh! you were GIANT BLANKET OVER BABY'S FACE BREASTFEEDING GOING ON HERE KTHKS.

I'm frankly amazed at this recurring breastfeeding wank theme. I mean, how often do people actually see anyone breastfeeding in public, or *gasp* a nipple? Somehow, methinks this "problem" of whip-em-out moms has been greatly exaggerated.

In case I'm wrong and there are places in America where multitudes of women do whip them out with no attempt of covering up, then color me surprised.

In my experience, in the US, women don't so much whip it out as whip it under: under their shirts, under a blanket, under as much cover as they can possibly manage without making the baby have to suckle them through their shirts. :D

It just boggles me that these people cannot comprehend that the boob is not intended for their perusal, and that even if it were, they are apparently incapable of turning their heads and not fucking looking at it, assuming the owner of the boob in question is even leaving it visible to the casual observer. It's not like these nursing mothers are trying to get your attention. They're trying to shut up the screaming kid, okay? Jesus.

Everyone seems to be missing the point that what she's most squicked out at is basically that the baby is consuming sunblock, sand, and seawater...which doesn't seem very healthy.

Assuming the woman was wearing a bikini top prior to the outwhippage, there's no reason she should have had sunblock or sand on her nipple.

As for seawater and sweat - meh, once the kid can crawl it'll be sticking far grosser things in its mouth of its own volition.

Breastfeeding is good and healthy.

That said, if they get to bare it in public, I get to walk my ugly ass around naked in the hot weather. It's entirely natural and much better for my skin than getting it all humid and chafe-y and painful by wearing a bra and pants.

Uhhhh...so women shouldn't nurse when it's over 90 degrees? Or only in an air-conditioned room?

Sweat didn't bother my kid and I've nursed her in some very hot environments (like a power outage on a 100F day).

I've read breastfeeding wank in many places and it seems to me that only women/girls complain about it. Huh.
