I suck at wank reporting.

Wherein a post is made concerning the NHS and how awful it is and how Americans should help the poor Brits with their appalling socialised healthcare.

Followed by lots of Poor Little Brits [I managed to stick to my own journal on this one, but only just] exploding in long-winded and generally quite eloquant rage about this. We're a bit touchy about our NHS.

It's a thing for high school students here--just sort of "you're smart and pretend to care about the community--have some college application padding." I was just at a high school graduation recently, so it was fresh in my mind.

Ah, joy. We had a couple of things like that knocking around at Sixth Form but I really can't remember what they were called. Usually something less excitingly patriotic, though.

Man, I would give my left arm to be able to afford to go to some sort of shrink to either be drugged up the whazoo so I could feel normal or be told I'm really just a hypochondriac who should ess tee eff you. Instead I get to be a po' college student in the US! Joy!
