So sayeth one of the players in this bit of wank over at the customers_suck LJ community!

Seems [info]vinnieroyale recently quit his job at a gas station. All well and good, yes? Not so! Allow me to quote:

I had a pretty good idea that I was going to quit so for the last two weeks my friends and I have been robbing the store blind. I work(ed) third shifts, which was 10 p.m. - 6 a.m. Our store wasn't very big, but we managed to steal nearly $2,000 worth of merchandise in the last two weeks of my tenure as gas station whore.

And then he posts a list of all the things he and his friends stole.

The comments go through the roof! There's talk of karma, the original poster calling something "gay" inappropriately, and a whole barrel of fun to to be had. The quote at the top is one of my personal favorites.

Wow. Okay, so what he did was monumentally stupid, but some of the commenters seem just a little too worked up about some stranger on the Internet telling what may or may not be a bullshit story about stealing stuff from a little gas station somewhere. I mean, telling the guy he should be shot in the face and you'd be happy to do it yourself? Wow, calm the fuck down. It's not like he murdered or raped anyone.

And maybe it's just me, but I think all these little internet avengers who are trying to get the guy arrested are being assholes too. Yeah, he was dumb, and more so for bragging about it online, but there's really no reason to try to fuck up someone's job prospects for the rest of his life unless you just want to be a malicious little bastard and take pleasure in someone else's misery. If he gets caught, let him get caught on his own, not because some random person on Livejournal decided to get all self-righteous and strike a blow for the integrity of gas station workers everywhere. I mean, come off it. I'm not condoning what he did, but turning him in is not some morally superior act, it's getting off on someone else's misfortune.

Besides, he's probably just a troll anyway. :P

What's even funnier about that is if he's a troll, that was a monumentally stupid troll. Bullshit story + plausible personally identifying information = possible law enforcement intrusion.

Since being an asshole is apparently a requirement to post at customers_suck, it would have surprised me if *nobody* had wanted to bust this guy. Man, he is stoopid^2.

Well, I used to post there, and I'm an asshole.

The impression I got from the comm when I was a member was that it could have easily been entitled "Whiny Teenage Retail Employees Suck" considering a good many of the posters, but that's just my personal opinon

I understand where you get that impression, and to be honest i do want to throttle some of the people for what they complain about. "They didn't say hi to me! They paid in ones! They didn't make eye contact with me! DIEDIEDIE!!!" For pete's sake, why do these people work with the public if they're that sensitive?

There are some genuinely really funny stories on there though. You just have to wade through all the whining to find them.

Well, as the owner of a retail establishment myself, I sure as hell would not want to hire anyone with a record of stealing from his employees. I have enough theft to deal wtih from off the street customers.

That's about all I'll say on the matter, it's a hot button for me.

But talk about a total asshat for the bragging, troll or not.

Well i guess i'm a malicious little bastard then, because frankly i think he deserves to go to jail. It's bad enough he breaks the law, repeatedly, but then brags about it like it's the coolest thing he's ever done. And he'd said he'd stolen at previous jobs too. Sorry, i have zero sympathy for whatever happens to him.

This isn't particularly wanky as wanks go (but still highly enjoyable;) but this Vinnie is definitely a member of the Order of the Hammer Bag.

Considering that he also mentioned vandalism, the Magic 9-Ball is predicting a court date for this loser sometime in the future. It's a good thing he quits his jobs because I don't know how anyone that stupid can remain employed in the long-term.

I haven't been keeping up with c_s the past couple of days due to work and general boredom, but I see they haven't lost their ability to wank. This guy does indeed deserve what he gets...as long as no one actually does go out and beat him up, anyway.

I was gonna report this myself but the post got deleted before i could. I didn't get the chance to see anything but the first 13 or so comments.

To the credit of customers_suck, if someone does something incredibly stupid on there other members of the comm WILL call them on it. Stealing like that obviously is a dumbass thing to do. I guess the guy thought everyone would think he was super cool for doing it.

There are some people on there who think anything done to 'get back at the man', wether it be stealing, tainting food, etc is a good thing regardless of who it hurts, but most of those from my experience are teenage/early 20's who i don't think really have digested the concept that when you are in a servant position, you are not likely to be treated as an equal. Not saying it's right, but hey, you ARE there to serve them, not for them to kiss your ass.
