You know, I'm of two minds with this post. For one, it WAS incredibly insulting...but having worked briefly in retail and in fast food, I can attest to some of what he has said. At the same time, I've also suffered at the hands of bigotry myself - won't get into the details, the memories are not good - and often it's the stereotype that perpetrates the attitude. Sigh.

Heh, interesting that the US has no official language. Canada has two...English and French and it's a rare Quebecois that will deal with someone in English should a non-French speaker decide to visit/live in Quebec.

We won't even get into the maritime accents. :P

Overall though, what I'm trying to say is I didn't see his post as being particularly racist, just very insulting, but at the same time, he's not far off the mark with his assessment of some groups of customers. :P

I hate it when posts like this make me squirm.

Of course, the community IS called "customers_suck" and for everyone who commented on this post who didn't get the concept, :PPPPPP on them. The LJ cut tag bitching was priceless...I mean, c'mon, it's not like he posted pictures to go along with his post. Then I could see the complaints being merited, but it was just text. No biggie, I might grumble at the whole thing at my computer, but I wouldn't waste my time clicking on Post a Comment, SCROLL all the way down to the window (which they had to do anyway to read the post in the first place) just to post a one liner saying "Please use LJ cut tags". Just sayin'.

	Well his super long post without cutting completely screwed up my page, i could not load the entire page with the posts following it because it was making my browser puke. So, it does cause a problem for some. (Reply to this)(Parent)

	I wasn't sure what country this poster was posting from. I assumed non-US because they said "queue" instead of "line" or "lane" as is customary in the US. Or is that a New England thing as well? (Reply to this)(Thread)

	I adore that community, but some of the posters need to chill a tad. I personally wasn't offended by his post, but it was so freaking LONG. And even after all those people told him how to do LJ-cuts, he STILL didn't cut the blasted thing. Then the day after he makes another long (but not as long) post without a cut. (Reply to this)

Eh, I've found that Customers_Suck tends to have an entry like this come along every once in awhile:
