whip_lash posts earlier this month dealing with the Guardian article about the Vatican claiming that condoms spread AIDS, or more, specifically, that they have holes through which the virus can pass; whip_lash criticizes the article on the grounds that the Guardian left information out.

vikingrob leaves the first comment: "Once again, the scientific prowess of the Vatican amazes me. [/sarcasm]"

skinnybodydown, who wins the Nevada Fighter Award for Long-Winded Self-Righteousness, replies. At great length.
kurmudgeon replies, and the two swiftly devolve into an argument to see who can sound the most arrogant.
- other posters leap in, replying to earlier comments and carrying the argument past the dead horse stage.
- the remaining comments address such important issues such as "France isn't Catholic the way that Italy's Catholic" and "Austria is super Catholic."
- someone finally calls for the end of the debate, and the wank sadly comes to an end.
Whew . . . I guess people were really pent-up that day.
