Someone posts to the LJ community sextips that she is a virgin, and want to stay that way, but that her male friend wants to screw her with a strap-on "since it technically wouldn't be having sex."

The first few commenters give normal advice: don't do it if you don't want to. But then desertroze chimes in with "Penetration is penetration..which ultimately means no longer a virgin." This, of course, opens up a whole can of worms, starting with "Are lesbians doomed to virginity?", and "Then if you use tampons you won't be a virgin." Then rape is brought in and the value of dictionaries, and it all just spirals downhill.

Can I say that, looking at the rest of the community, the questions were not nearly so stupid as I expected them to be?

Well, except the wankers in question, who like to play the "I don't want an argument, but [insert rant here]" "I'm not arguing! I just hate you and every opinion you ever had, you fucker!" game. I'm still amused by the concept of the mob of angry virgin lesbians coming to attack Desertroze, though.

Most of the questions on that comm are usually decent ones...but the wank aside, i think the girl is being kinda naive. Why would a guy want to do her with a strap-on? Sounds like one of those 'oops, somehow my penis got in there' deals.
