Suicide Girls goin 'splody?

For those who don't know, Suicide Girls is the most popular alt-porn site on there. Mostly softcore stuff; it also has interviews with various celebrities and a large message board. They play up the "real women" aspect of the site by giving each model her own page, a journal, etc.

Recently, the site seems to have been hit by a perfect storm of wank. Summary stolen and modified from sgirls, an "open forum" about the site:

- The SuicideGirls site has always had something of a "for-the-people, by-the-people" feel to it. It is revealed that the site is co-owned by controversial figure Sean Suhl. This pisses girls off. Sean himself has a not-so-nice reputation as a conservative and being "not progressive in his views towards women".

- Meanwhile, models' accounts are closed and their photo shoots archived if they pose for other sites. Others complain about compensation (the FAQ claims they get $300 per set) and being used in promotional images. The ones who participated on the burlesque tour report harassment from the staff. Member questions about archival and the current wank are also deleted.

- Rumors go around. Now ex-models claim that they've been threatened with having their pictures resold, been stranded after publicity outings, et cetera.

- Journal entries with negative thoughts about the site are modified by the staff. Models complain that they've no participation in the direction of the site.

- The site is "removing sets featuring bondage and gore in order to appease the FBI's counter-productive campaign of attacking perfectly legal pornography on the internet."

Where to find the wank? Sgirls is your best bet so far. It contains actual entries by ex-models. There's also UnPink, run by an anonymous ex-model, basically stating everything above.
