Wow. See, that's why I'm going to live in Medford instead of Portland when I graduate- people have more important things to do than have anueurisms over the fact that some people like different burritos than them.

Personally, I think Chipotle is awesome. I don't care if they're not authentic- they're delicious and one burrito meets my nutritional needs for the day, and they're one of the few take-out places that actually knows what I mean when I say, "I'm sensitive to gluten", and then check to make sure the ingredients don't contain any. So, yeah.
...and one of the Head Honchos' son goes to my college, so we get tons of free stuff if we have a valid student ID.

Oh my God shut up. I live a half hour drive away from Mexico and eat Mexican food probably once a freaking DAY and seriously, you are allowed to like fast-food Mexican. I enjoy the franchise that is Del Taco and I enjoy the almost painfully authentic hole in the wall surfer den that is Pedro's. IT'S MEXICAN FOOD. IT IS MEANT TO BE ENJOYED. Except Taco Bell that shit's for stuffy white people.

Okay, I'm from Texas, so maybe this is a stupid comment, but: If they're a bunch of white people living in Portland fucking Oregon, than homemade burritos aren't any more "authentic" than a fast food place, are they? Unless their Hispanic maid makes it for them or something. They make it sound like Mexican food is this holy, sacred thing and that you must have The Authentic, 100% Genuine Article or else it's no good. Um, Taco Bell is basically the same as the stuff my Mexican grandmother makes, guys. Only she spends a whole day just making tortillas.
