I've heard that the video game translation scene is full of prima donnas, and here's the proof.

So recently The Whirlpool, which was once a happy place full of quality video game translations, suddenly went bye bye. As it turns out, the decision to suddenly just kill the whole site is most likely the result of a post made on the Whirlpool's message board here, where Nightcrawler comments on a new site he's creating with community news posting, so that "News won't rely on a few select people anymore."

Mildly wanky, yes. It gets REALLY wanky, however, here: http://transcorp.parodius.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=rhack1;action=display;num=1128492767

Nightcrawler comments, as he explains himself: "Why they never just made ME a staffer and told me to do something about it, I'll never know. Instead, they shut down and quit."

Annnnd wank explodes like whoa. Can't we all just... enjoy the translated goodness? ;_;

Whirlpool's gone? o_O

Between that and emulation.net disappearing, I am a sad, sad panda. ;_;
