Fchan, again.
Some dude wanted a poorly drawn fap pic turned into a flash. Somebody obliged him. And now it's a YTMND(currently under review). There's even someone requesting that everyone should stop bashing the pic becuase they can't draw. And again. Someone even takes a shot at republicans, repressed fetishists, and Firefox in one fell swoop.

Xposted to LJ's fchan_horrors.
EDIT: Removed pointless parts.

Would that count as furry bashing by extension? It's Firefox, after all.

Why do mcity's commentaries and admonitions irritate me so much? Is it just because it's trendy to want to bash him and all his furry ilk?

Possibly. Or maybye we were mortal enemies in a past life.

Because it's annoying to watch someone trying to herd cats, especially if you're a cat?

... but that might make you a furry, so I'm confused again.

To be fair, I suspect that he's not thinking of something like simple mockery but the near-batshit raving you can expect to see on LJDrama or CrushYiffDestroy or Portal of Evil - the sort that gets praise on those sites. Mind you, I don't know if that still goes on, but hey. In any case, I don't think that that sort of thing would go down particularly well here - but I don't really know if that's true or not.

... all the same, I have to wince at those postscripts. Not helping himself much, there.

My main reason for not using FF in favor of Opera is that Opera remembers your tabs when it crashes or closes, and now I'm spoiled.

Really? Sweet. Still, it has rendering bugs like noone's buisiness, and I could probably find an FF extension that does that. Is it as customizable as FF?

Also, my complaint was against people calling FF trendy, which it is, while disrgarding the actual quality of the software itself, which is close to perfect.

Oh, it's SUPPOSED to do that? I kept getting annoyed at it for that.

In any case, I've got a slight bias towards IE and Firefox over Opera since tabbed browsing drives me absolutely NUTS and Opera doesn't give me any option to turn it off. On the other hand, Opera's autorefresh has it's uses, so I'm not going to uninstall it anytime soon.

Also- there's an fchan_horrors LJ? Iiiiinnnnteresting.

Technically, that's an ad hominem fallacy: attacking the arguer instead of the arguement.

Thank you for letting us know that! It would have been terrible if we mistook "you draw like shit" as a logical argument. We would have been soooo embarrassed!

P.S. That wasn't an ad hominem fallacy. I admire your persistence, though; a lesser man would have given up trying to appear smart by now.

Because the comments make no sense after the edit of the post anymore, here's the part that was deleted:

[info]mcity:*Technically, that's an ad hominem fallacy: attacking the arguer instead of the arguement. It's also a red herring: the quality of one's own art has nothing to do with the validity of one's opinions on the art of another.
**I wish people would stop calling FF trendy. Most people don't use it because they are hipsters, they just think it's a better browser. I saw a PCWorld with a comparison between IE, Netscape, Opera, and FF, and Firefox was the runaway winner with four stars. The only flaw they mentioned was that it doesn't render DHTML or something correctly, but they were quick to point out that the problem was with the DHTML code itself."
