Icon Wank
rx_queen falsely accuses several members of the twisted_icons community of icon theft.

Why?

Because they don't credit themselves in their icon keywords. A miniature flame war ensues.

That is one of the stupidest things I have ever seen. I always thought if I made the majority of my own icons I'd avoid the keyword credit thing that I hate, but apparently no icon in the world is safe.

I'm maryavatar, and despite the provokation I think most of the wank there is mine. The ironic thing is that I have it stated in my user info that people can take my icons without crediting me.

Now please excuse me, I feel the need to rub my genitals all over this again.

Eeee! And I'm going to use the one and only icon I have that was made by someone else! And I don't think I credited the maker! I'm scuuuuuum! I sincerely hope that the icon maker never tracks me down. Uh oh... wasn't it [info]redhead? Crap, busted :(

Putting an icon bitch in their place is not wanky.

I, uh, draw my own icons (for livejournal--some of my JF icons are the CROPPED type). So let's just say that I think getting whiny about pictures you cropped and stuck through a few filters is the wankiest wank that ever wanked. And then if it's not even about your own personal icons, but someone who you think may have possibly stole someone else's icons but you're not sure...

You don't have to answer to anyone. Especially not an icon bitch.

Ah-hahahahaha...totally butting in. I think icon-stealing is a compliment, personally but here's a solution for those who don't feel that way: itty, bitty watermarks! You can put "this icon is mine, beotch" or some such phrase. See? Problem solved...

Maybe they were afraid her royal highness would ban them too. I can't really imagine why though. It's not like it's a really popular community and it's bound to become even less popular if she continues accusing people of icon theft. The best thing she could do is simply admit she was wrong and apologize to everyone. Unfortunately, coming to that decision would require common sense.

I've said this before, but with my icons, all I ask is that you let me know if you're going to take/customize any of my icons. I certainly don't ask for credit in key words. In fact, I don't ask for credit at all. To me, they're just icons. :\

To do something like that OP did in twisted_icons is just sad though. Maybe those people gave credit on their own journals. That should be enough.

It appears that she has disabled comments for that entry and has deleted all of the existing comments.

Get this though: She still has the list up!

"i'm not asking anyone to satisfy ME. thank you. i was meerly asking if they had made them, some of them i know did not. i think some people need to learn to grow up a little. maybe take some examples from the people who commented below, calmly."

Apparently, she immediately disabled comments after that. But I did send a rather long PM calling her an irrational coward that made herself and her community look horrible. :D
