Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
youcantwrite wank, yippee! (And yes, I've linked everything properly to LJ, not using lj-user/comm tag.)

dr_internet at one time applied at the community, and got rejected. His rage knows no bounds, and lo, he finds a diary that happens to belong to a member of youcantwrite, prime_radiant.

Wank ensues, wherein--

dr_internet badmouths prime_radiant's writing ability

prime_radiant is going to sue him

dr_internet (re)invades youcantwrite

___timetrap badmouths youcantwrite

marstokyo implores that dr_internet thinks of the children poor prime_radiant on ethical grounds

He's gonna reapply, watch out!

AND YOU WILL ALSO BE IN THE SUING WHEN I SUE. (Personally, I find prime_radiant's membership in youcantwrite to be rather ironic.)

Small, but fun and oh-so-grudgy.

Edit to add: dr_internet partook in copious quantities of whine in his LJ.

My bullshit sense is tingling. Put me down for dr_internet and prime_radiant being the same person. There is a certain telltale lackluster quality to their bickering.

It's possible. It sounds too coincidental to be true, but I sent my tinfoil hat to the laundrette and it's not back yet.

Plus what's the likelihood of someone finding their nemesis's diary in the bathroom at Wendy's? And if dr_internet had such a diary, wouldn't he have posted at least a couple of minor incriminating details by now?

I say that in another few weeks, one of the two is going to make a "HAHAHA U TOOLZ I PWNED U" post.

I'm still working through the comments and my first reaction was:

It infuriated me so that I started to recite entries I had found in the comments. The post has since been deleted and I sort of feel bad about my behavior now. I will scan some of the entries in tonight.

...Okay, wtf?! It's bad to quote entries at the person who wrote them but scanning them in is okay? Earth logic is obviously only available in limited quantities to this dr_internet.

I think it's a he, but I can't be certain. I identify his tone as male, though, for what it's worth (and I'm a rotten judge of gender on the Intraweb).

And here I usually associate ellipses as victims of females.

Then again, the emphasis on Emerson's prettiness sounds like a slur that a guy would be more likely to use.

What exactly is the point of that comm? How can you grade a journal when people use them for so many different purposes?

I wonder if f_w could pass, if it hadn't been tos'd.

winterfox

It baffles me also, but apparently, the logic is that writing is writing, and if you're using your LJ as an outlet for improving your writing skills... it can be graded? Or something. I find rating communities to be wanky and pointless most of the time, anyway. (But so charming in their ability to generate wank. Ah, fond memories of thebookyoucrew.)

I wonder if f_w could pass, if it hadn't been tos'd.

Dun think you can submit a community LJ, though.

I suppose, although, how can people effectively grade a journal if they don't know about the subject material? Yeah, agreed about the bookyoucrew. (Ah, nostalgia!)

Also, for some reason those fandom rating communities have been spreading like a plague all over anime fandom. -_-

Damn, too bad.

Well, leastwise he/she/it doesn't copy and paste everywhere, but at least makes some of the posts different?

The ones I saw were all the same, prefixed with "I'm not sure if this belongs here..." Well dumbass, follow your initial hunch next time!

I almost hope he isn't a troll, because the idea of deleting all your entries after a pretentious community slams them is hilarious in a single emo tear way.

Goddamn, I hate when people do that shit. It's gotten to the point where I'd like to post an image macro that says "READ THE FUCKING USERINFO JACKASS" to every idiot who does that in a post.

Of course, that would be considered trolling in some communities, but damnit, enough is enough.

I think PR and Dr Internet are the same person. PR sounds way too stupid to be true -- "You will also be in the suing when I sue" is too good for words (I demand an icon). But more than that, the details just don't wash. So The Good Doctor finds a journal in the bathroom and it just happens to be PR's? Even if you swallow that, how many of you who write in notebooks list your LJ address in there? I know I sure as hell don't. I don't even put my name down, since I know what the notebook is, I know that it's mine, etc.

Anyway, yeah, this just doesn't. wash.

I must admit I am not very impressed with the members journals myself. They seem like average LJs to me at least, though hardly stirring in content and poetic in lay-out. I mean why troll a comm that's so obviously just a bunch of self-esteem challenged asshats?

...I think I just answered my own question.

I only checked out one when they said to an applicant "check out mine for a 'good' journal" and I went and read...

And then went "So, you have to be a pretentious, long-winded asshat to get in then?"

... And I'm /so/ going to put up my journal. Eventually.

I did the same, and the journal read like a freakin' news feed! I realise that some people do use their journal for commentary primarily, but this one had no particular original thought, rather just "pithy" one-liners and links to articles. Clearly the archetypal journal, that.

I just found it hilarious that these are "good" journals. I mean, sure, if I found something amusing/distressing/wtf-ing I post a link in my journal with just a one liner --mainly because usally the article speaks for itself.

But to be a part of them you have to be pretentious and long winded.

... I smell one of my "high-horse, I am pissy" posts that always end up tl;dr coming on. Hmm. Abused women or yaoi... I think I did yaoi last time.

And we won't get into my thoughts on Harmonians, mad wizards and an OT4

.. No I don't have a life. Why do you ask?

Dr Internet also hit (http://www.livejournal.com/community/booju_mooju/247103.html) [info]booju_mooju, a livejournal community where moms with no lives outside of their kids "debate" parenting. And by "debate," I mean "self-righteously declaring that their own parenting style is the ONE TRUE PATH, and whine when opposing points of view are introduced."
