athiests dont have a reason to love people. theres no god or teaching they believe that show them right from wrong. thats why athiests are dangerous. an athiest doesnt care what an athiest does. an athiest (who probably loves attention since they crave it and never get it thats why they love to broadcast their non-beliefs as to try to seem interesting) doesnt care about anyone. an athiest will dump a best friend of a decade because they think they got cool. an athiest will lie to that friend for ten years and pretend to care not caring that they will devastate that person and make them want to commit suicide every single day. an athiest will laugh behind their back and tell others theyd like to kill that person. thats an athiest i know...or knew


The "athiests" find this insulting for some reason.

Atheists are such a sensitive lot, especially where interfaith (atheist/emo twit) relationships are concerned.

On the other hand, those atheists quoting Einstein (who was definitely and vocally not an atheist) amuse me in a "there's a gremlin on the wing...and he wants to be my friend" way.

-_- This reminds me of a religious conversation I had with a girl on a message board once (I don't know why I get myself into these things) in which she declared that atheists have no morals, dress in skanky clothing, and have no problem swearing around children.

Last time I checked, I've been friends with my (very religious) best friend for 18 years, I love quite a few people, I'm pretty morally conservative, and I've never wanted to kill anyone. I guess I'm a bad atheist; I should really get on all those things!

Oh, and look at MEEEEEEE! Actually, look at the wank, because fake public internet break-up explanations are just plain funny.

as it goes, a 'good' atheist is FAR better in moral terms than a 'good' religious person because we are doing the right thing because it is the right thing, not because we fear hell! that makes us morally superior.

There is a fable among the Hare Krishna followers about a man who was atheist. He was bound and determined to be a hardcore atheist, so for his whole life, he constantly kept reminding himself "there is no God." And then, he died.

However, when he died, he instantly went to heaven. Astonished, he asked God how this happened, and God told him, "All I ask is that people keep thinking of me at all times. And, even though you thought you were telling yourself I didn't exist, that did keep Me on your mind at all times, so -- here you are. Surprise!"

My wanky opinion is that if you're only being a decent human being because religion tells you to be, then YOU suck. People shouldn't need a reason to be nice.
