Six months ago, agilebrit defriended ginmar stating her reasons in her own journal, basically saying she disagreed with the things ginmar was saying.

Fast forward to now, and ginmar has found the entry and is calling the op and everyone who commented cowardly bitches and saying to one, "You're that professional virgin, aren't you? No wonder you can't handle anything more thna (sic) black or white."

Update: "I was never on your friends list!"

Wow. That's some prime-time crazy, right there. I'd pity the poor woman, if only she wasn't such a raging hypocrite. Way to set yourself up as the very model of a modern major feminist and then belittle other women for their choices about what do to with their bodies. That's disgusting.

Now I think I'm remembering something...wasn't ginmar one of the folks in BTVS fandom screaming that that slut Buffy ought to lick Spikey-poo's feet for daring to put up with her bitchy self? If so, then I guess the hypocracy ain't so new.

While I'm fascinated by--and a little admiring of--agilebrit's masochism patience with letting psycho-hosebeast go on ranting and shrieking in his/her LJ, I think agilebrit would be wise to just delete & ban. Yeah, I know, then it gives us so much less to snark about; but really the only way to compete with that level of batshit is to simply respond with silence. Ginmar wants the last word more than she wants to make sense. OK, fine, give her the last word. Congratulations on your no-prize, didn't-win-nothin' victory. (Show 'em my motto!)

She links that statement to a thread about RPS, and here's where the Holocaust come's in:

FRankly, I'm wondering whether or not arguments about the legality of this stuff---by which I mean the NC-17 stuff----should even be entertained. Any argument they come up with is self-serving, and the best argument I've seen--by someone not promoting their right to write this stuff-----hangs very tenuously on a faulty understanding of the concept of Fredom of Speech.

I have to mention Holocaust Denial here. I know that's a bit much, but it's a prime example of a false dichotomy. There's only one side to the Holocaust issue. That's all there is to it. The Nazis murdered millions of Jews, not a few here and there. Nevertheless, the moral equivalency people have successfully promoted the ludicrous concept that there are two sides to every issue, when in fact there might be ten or twenty---or only one. It's interesting that they only promote the idea of two, isn't it? When confronted with a really simple concept, they still think they have to look for an opposing viewpoint, even though they give legitmacy to, well, illegitimate sources.

So, then, she never said that RPS was as bad as the Holocaust. She said that you shouldn't deign to argue with Holocaust revisionists, and similarly you shouldn't deign to argue with people who say that NC-17 RPF can be legal... or something like that.

Of course, I can't remember anyone from F_W saying the Ginmar said RPS was as bad as the Holocaust, but rather that RPS was like rape.

Uh, I'm coming kind of late to this one, but I'm hoping someone can answer me anyway. How does ginmar know that honorh is a virgin, anyway? And if they have a history, and honorh said she was, what's with the "professional" bit? I went to her journal, presuming I'd find a picture of her in a habit in her userinfo at least. I was most disappointed. I wanted to find out how to do it. Hey, the least I can do is make some money out of it, eh?

Yeah, I don't get that at all. I mean, I don't even get it when you know the person in real life. There are people I dislike in real life but once they reveal their true colors, I just want to get as far away from them as possible and my feelings about them are pretty much distaste, distrust, and bewilderment. I don't want to have anything to do with them.



Yes, Ginmar likes to stay as far away from them as possible, as confirmed by her responses in Agilebrit's journal.
