Ginmar responds to a fellow vet, in an incoherent rant in the original thread. Apparently, the Iraq thing? Is only a get-out-free card for her. Choice bits:

This is actually a bit scary and more than a bit sad, given her PTSD.

Wow. Ginmar is passing straight from "hilariously wanky" to "creepily unstable". The word VIRGIN in all caps like that... why is she emphasizing that word? Why is she so preoccupied with this person's virginity? How is it the slightest bit relevant to the matter at hand? At this juncture I really think someone who is friends with Ginmar should tell her to calm the fuck down because I don't think anyone's doing her any favours by pretending she's not acting completely insane here.
Also, I think Agilebrit really should point out to Ginmar directly at this point that s/he never WAS on Ginmar's flist to begin with... making her whole bone of contention quite moot. Not that it would get Ginmar to shut up, but she'll at least have to change course yet again, now that she can't pull the "ARE YOU A VET??? HAVE YOU BEEN TO IRAQ????" trump card.
Again I say wow.

1. How else are they going to mock her? She bans people who politely disagree with her, much less the ones that mock her to her face.

Isn't that in the Constitution? I'm pretty sure it's one of the amendments... "All citizens between the ages of 18 and 55 must get into a pointless argument with at least one lunatic each fiscal year or face imprisonment for no less than 2 weeks and no more than 6 months." That's why I moved to Canada.

So let me get this straight.

In agilebright's handily-tagged posts (http://www.livejournal.com/users/agilebrit/tag/ginmar), Ginmar has:

Called another woman "bitch" at least a half-dozen times,
Insulted a (different) woman for being a virgin, and repeatedly stated that virgins have no right to express their opinions
Called other women "coward" too many times to count
And in her latest post, called someone a "stupid cunt" and used housewife as a derogatory term

She calls herself a feminist with that mouth?
And other people still buy that!?

She reminds me of one of those flash-in-the-pan celebrities whose fifteen minutes are over, so now she's stuck acting more and more outlandish in hopes of attracting the spotlight once again.

Pitiful and sad.

What's worse is she's got a thousand sycophantic friends to pat her on the back, reassure her that she's right, and thus keep her from recognizing her problems and getting the help she so clearly needs.

I am reminded of a past Gin-wank, in which some anonymous commenter disagreed with something Ginmar said about rape and her response was "well, you're not the sex that gets raped, so how would you know?" This got a lot of *boggle* by itself, but the anon commenter soon came back and revealed herself to be a woman...

Really, teh_mental has been brewing for a while (and I went and peeked at her LJ to see if there were any new developments, but she hasn't even learnt how to LJ-cut)

	Especially since she has, in the past, ranted about men's use of gendered insults such as "cunt" and "pussy" against each other. I guess when a man uses those words in order to emasculate and devalue another man by comparing him to a woman it's sexist; but when a woman does it it's...feminist? I give up. I got nothin'. Yeah, as a feminist, it pisses me off to see someone wrap themselves in the banner of feminism (and run around justifying everything they do in terms of it) then go off insulting women on sexual grounds in discussions that have *nothing to do with that*.

Does PSTD really case this kind of thing? Agilebrit's post didn't seem that triggering. But it really is too bad that she doesn't have some friends who can make her see she's accomplishing nothing here.

On the other hand, she was kind of like this before, only less so. Perhaps this is some other psychological problem.
