Poly Wants a Wank
Okay, this will not actually beat wanking about ice cream. Because nothing can.

Over on dot_poly_snark, j5nn5r decides s/h/it wants to rant.

It's all about ME ME ME
I see this on a few different on-line communities. I'm not poking at a recent post, though I will say I was reminded of it recently.

"I'm tired of reading about your stuff." - whiner

{snip}

/clue phone rings/

"hullo?"

"Whiner, I have your clue for today. Listen carefully. Ready?"

"Uh, yeah."

"We aren't here for *you*."

Which wouldn't necessarily be a problem, I suppose, in a rant community. Except that, as the other members of the community point out, it's a *snark* community, not a rant one.

"If someone posts something that isn't of interest to me, I move on."

But you don't move on until after you've posted an incredibly long and sincere post about it in a community designed for brief sarcastic remarks.

catamorphism:
Sounds like the kind of outlook that would lead somebody to post things in fora because they care about it, and it doesn't matter whether anybody else does -- but I'm sure you wouldn't know anything about that.

But joedecker wins with this response:

Ya know, if you don't like what someone posts [...] here is your clue by farking four: don't read it.

Don't forget to check out this acronym and its definition:

GABYAW.

I think I want that as a bumper sticker.

Oh, and since it's a poly community:

dda
Dammit, I know people want to hear about my cat-flossing and besides, the lurkers support me in email!

Ob. Poly: All the people I'm dating support me in email too.
