And I love how people keep yelling, "She didn't ask for money! What does it matter?" First, it matters because she's shown that she's willing to go to great lengths to manipulate others. This wasn't a one-time event, just the most obvious in a long string of deceptions. It's important to let others know about her before they get dragged into something. Not everyone is going to believe, but now there's a big, fat warning out there about her, and at least some people are going to take heed.

Second, she didn't ask for money yet. It's possible that she planned to make her plea when the "bills" came "due." What are people supposed to do, wait for her to make her plea and then try to head her off? Donations would start hitting her account immediately--as fast as things move these days, the only way to head things off is to make a preemptive strike.

Damn, that's a tonne of tl;dr through which to wade.

That done, I honestly have to say that were I in lyme's place, I might have made an effort to do something similar; a friend willing to construct fabrications to the extent this Titsy person apparently has done needs help, and just ignoring it won't bring the needed aid.

I should add that I had my doubts at first when I read that auf_deutschebag was involved "in a good way". You just don't often see "good" and "auf_deutschebag" in the same sentence.

So I've spent like a whole hour reading that thing and I don't even know any of these people. I have way less of a life than her. All these "omg OBSESSED@!@!" comments don't make sense; wouldn't you be fucking pissed too?

This exact same thing happened to me years ago, when I was fourteen. I was the only one who could see through the bullshit, and suddenly everyone was calling me a heartless bitch. It was surreal.

Sometimes I just can't believe how gullible people are.

I'm having trouble believing that anyone bought the part about the emergency room physician talking to her LJ friends. WTF? If nothing else, it breaches medical confidentiality laws in a huge way. I'm only a nurse's aide but I'd get fired and possibly prosecuted if I made a post like that.

I'm not sure what's funnier. The fact that this chick is so deluded that she honestly thinks she can still maintain her lies with all this exposure, or the fact that people either a) are willing to defend her as if she hadn't actually done a thing wrong or b) accuse Lyme of having no life for taking the time to expose the liar.

Hi there JournalFen!! I just came on here to let all of you know that [info]slackerbitch was in a horrible, terrible accident! She was skiing nude across the freeway when she got run over by a drunk paraplegic dyslexic midget on crank. She has a fractured eyebrow, a distended anus, and her head came off, but they're glueing her head back on now and she should make a full recovery.

My name is Mary Lou, and I'm her total BFF. I met her three years ago while shopping for tomatoes at the SuperK and realized within moments that she was an utter goddess and angel on earth. I quit my job and moved into her garage just to be near her, and I steal all of her internet passwords while she's asleep. So if she's ever said anything rude, that was probably me.

Later on, I'm going to get her periodontist, Edgar McFakeyfake, to come on here and post a full update on her condition, and let us know how the glue is sticking. Incidentally, Dr. McFakeyfake is also madly in love with her, and has proposed marriage and will be moving into my garage, even though she's been unconscious the whole time. She's just that special. I hope she doesn't die!!!!

Oh, no, my laptop battery is running out, JUST when I was going to tell you all what hospital she's at! It's such a shame I don't have an extra laptop battery. People should be happy that it's only an accident...I had the same thing happening to me, only that it was my boyfriend*'s friend who committed suicide and it was her twin sister that was talking to my boyfriend. That last a few months until it was discover that it was the twin that had committed suicide and that my boyfriend's friend was still very much alive.

*now ex-boyfriend.

I love all the people who are just soclose to calling Lyme a tattletale.

The real question here is, why are you wasting your time if you feel she's a liar?

--because maybe other people would like to know they're being lied to?
