Frank Miller and feminism! (and boobies.)
I'm surprised no one got to this before, what with the amount of people in both s_d and f_w.

[info]teh_no posts to scans_daily with pages from All-Star Batman and Robin.

People point out Frank Miller's misogyny.

(Humor points for [info]kitsune_ and his HE'S THE GODDAMN FRANK MILLER response.)

Then [info]coldbirth asks, Who do the quoted bits after the script come from?
The answer is: Gloria Steinem! And usher in the feminist wank.

[info]coldbirth has a problem with feminism. [info]anashi has a problem with coldbirth's problem, and also apparently with commas -- and, as it turns out, with the word 'feminazi'. And recognizing sarcasm.

[info]thekingofbleh is a cliche, according to anashi, who then argues with him for far too long, making my eyes glaze over; then [info]fripple jumps in, again proving that anashi can't recognize sarcasm when she sees it.

[info]thekingofbleh says,
I do, however, mind when someone decides to throw all sense of civility out the door and to start calling me an "anti-feminist prick" and so on
; anashi takes offense to him pointing out her lack of civility. Apparently, pointing out a lack of politeness is now misogynist.

Anashi comes back later in the thread, saying Teh No, I have no idea why you posted this, since you seem like you have problems with feminism. Is this some kind of sarcasm? It's not a funny oversight, because plenty of feminists have talked about marriage and feminism. And Gloria Steinem is not the be all and end all of feminist literature.

[info]teh_no responds with the Well-Adjusted Person's way of thinking about feminism:

And, just to be clear, I have a problem with any brand of feminism that considers a career woman to be morally superior to a stay-at-home mom, just as I have a problem with any worldview that condemns women to only being "barefoot and pregnant." In my opinion, feminism is having the choice to do whatever a woman prefers. Condemning one for how they use that choice is wrong, whether it's against stay-at-home moms or career women.

Watch! As some people make statements or jokes about feminism, and marvel! As [info]anashi manages to miss the point every time.

(For added amusement, [info]duae invokes Godwin's on Gloria Steinem.)

EDIT: The mod makes an STFU post. [info]anashi says, So it's a 'be misogynistic and get away with it' community. Gotcha. Funny, you know I've seen lots of debates on Scans_daily but this is the one that gets picked out, obviously forgetting the great slash debates of a few months ago.
