[info]christylou82 posts an icon in the useless facts community which she admits is not quite useless, but knowledgeable to know.

Woo boy- I love how njyoder says that the Old Testament of the Bible is not something Christians see as valid. Dumbass, then why do I sit through two readings from the Old Testament every weekend at Mass. Oh wait- I'm Catholic so I'm going to Hell with the Jews and, therefore, my opinion doesn't matter. Okay!

In addition- two of my best friends are of the Jewish faith- neither goes to Temple on a regular basis or keeps Kosher. One of them is even a male and OH MY GOD, he shaves! How blasphemous they both must be!

God, I hate stupid trolls when it comes to religion. It just makes everyone who happens to believe in some deity look like psychos. Besides, if you're going to troll with religion AT LEAST know something about what you are talking about.

It appears that njyoder goes and trolls the personal LJs of people who have opinions he doesn't agree with. I don't know the whole story here but I found my way to it via njyoder's LJ. If I wasn't already convinced he was a tool/troll this would prove it beyond a doubt.

I should also mention that the prohibition is against shaving certain parts of one's face, and that using an electric razor is not considered shaving but rather cutting, because electric razors never cause a blade to move across the skin. Functionally, an electric razor is a collection of lots of tiny mechanical scissors.

I did not know that, and I must say it is a remarkably cool interpretation of religious dogma. Although it seems my ambitions to become a shabbas goy are being thwarted by technology; when discussing this with a friend she said most of the Orthodox Jews in her neighbourhood have timed lightswitches that go on and off by themselves on Shabbas.

Will no one think of the shabbas goyim?
