Icon wank and baseball wank in one!
Icon wank, fair icon wank, how I love you so. This one showed up at Veronica Mars Fans. There was a troll post (which has nothing to do with this wank, coincidentally) and kizzme87 used a Shakespeare icon (*sigh*). The supposed creator of the icon, seventhstar, goes all "OMG DUN STEAL!" on her.

From kizzme87, who obviously doesn't know how to capitalize. Or how to use apostrophes.
adding text to an image does not make it yours. nor do i ever credit. i just dont give a damn. its not an unwritten rule of lj, its just a reason for people to whine. i deleted it from my collection if it matters tho but i doubt i was the only one to steal it so im SURE its circulating somewhere..

Random Yankee stereotypes, oh my! Favorite dispute ever:
"racist."
"Yeah, I'm about as racist as you are smart..."
"so VERY racist?"

</a>[info]is an asshat who steals icons and doesn't give a shit. There is more Yankee stereotyping:
"I don't see anyone whining and bitching actually. All anyone is saying is that crediting is common courtesy. I wouldn't expect a Yankees fan to understand these concepts, but that's cool."
"It's ok. I wouldn't expect an Orioles fan to know anything about winning."
"I'm actually not an Orioles fan, but nice try. You win a year's supply of turtle wax. :D"

To cap it all off, red_mustang admits to being a troll.

Don't you love it when troll posts can tear people apart?

EDIT: It seems that the dispute is NOT over the Shakespeare icon. Most likely, it was a VM icon, which was deleted.

The icon that [info]seventhstar isn't the Shakespeare icon. [info]kizzme87 deleted the stolen icon and it got replaced with the default. I think the original was a VM icon, but I'm not sure because by the time I read the comments, the original had already been deleted.

The random troll insulting baseball was so WTF that I still don't understand it. Also rather lame since he came right out and told me he wasn't even a comm member.

Ah good. I was gonna say that the world is in a lot of trouble if she thinks that was a photograph of Shakespeare. :)

It's times like this that I'm glad I'm not into sports. WTF?

Actually, the suspicion that Yankees fans have deep moral and intellectual flaws is widespread in the AL, especially Seattle, Boston, and Baltimore.

(Damn, I need a Jay Buhner icon)

Oh hell yes. As a Yankee fan (though the Indians are my favorite* team) living in Seattle? I'm screeeeeeeewed.

*meaning the one team I sometimes know something about. forgive me, I'm a soccer fan.

In Boston, it is also widely suspected that George Steinbrenner is in league with the devil. Or possibly is the devil. The jury is still out.

One of my favorite bits from the English-to-American Dictionary is the mention in the definition of "Yank" that the guy who runs it gets regular email from Americans protesting that, hey, a Yankee is [insert group here], not everybody in the U.S.!

I have absolutely no doubts that he really does get a ton of email, too. Nobody can seem to decide what a Yank is, other than that most of us think we aren't one.

It amuses me that the New York Giants and New York Jets (ok I know, I'm switching teams and sports here) actually play in New Jersey.

This is why the only team I really consider a New York football team is Buffalo and it has nothing to do with having lived in Rochester, NY</i>.

Hehe...is it stealing if you save an icon on your computer and never use it?
because that's what I do when I see an icon I like and forget to take the name of who's using it...but I never use them on LJ or JF(or anywhere), I uses mine (except for the three scorpio one)
